Bad news for one of the most expected "October Surprises": no Durham report before the election. Now clear why Trump was mad at Barr yesterday.

White House not happy:

Basically Durham's told Barr to bury the report as deep as he can and pretend it never happened. Durham's been signalling this for the last few weeks now.

Church of the 19th Hole.

The 19th hole in Lahinch used be very popular on Sunday afternoons, legend had it that the nuns used go skinny dipping on their secluded beach it overlooked.

I thought it was fairly obvious that Mussolini’s facial
features were superimposed over Trump’s face.

And the point was they’re not all that far off from each other.

What worries me is that it was "obvious" he was going to lose last time.
That didn't go according to the script.

None of it will go according to script this time either.

Assuming the Michael Moore model in which we have 60 million Republican
Party voters and 60 million Democratic we have 50% for Biden and 50% for
Trump. I suspect in such a contest Trump will win because, well, various reasons.

But, according to the latest research we do not have 120 million voters this
time around, we instead have 150 million voters. Where the HELL are they
coming from!

Anyway, lets assume we get a blue surge. The Democrats have 90 million
voters and the Republicans have 60 million voters. Biden has 60% of the
vote and Trump has 40% of the vote.

Now the polls put Biden at 50% which means he looses to Trump,
but the polls also put Trump at 40% which means he looses to Biden.

Ugh.

Trump may not understand but I do. It's hard work and takes time to manufacture damning evidence out of thin air.

GOP Rep. Jason Smith (begs the British government to "put a stop" to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry urging Americans to vote.
Smith claimed their activities in encouraging voting amounted to foreign interference in an American election.

This is another good example of what MRC Hans said about how low we've sunk. The quote could be false but, given the GOP nut cases, it could also very well be true. One has to seek alternative sources these days just to tell fact from fiction.

Senator Bob Dole tweets

@SenatorDole
The Commission on Presidential Debates is supposedly bipartisan w/ an equal number of Rs and Ds. I know all of the Republicans and most are friends of mine. I am concerned that none of them support @realDonaldTrump.
A biased Debate Commission is unfair.

I agree that the Commission might be unfair but not for the reason Dole states. The debates used to be run by the League of Women Voters. They were not politicians who might have an axe to grind or showed any bias at all. Politicians forgot the old saw, "It it ain't broke, don't fix it." I suppose there's no going back, but I'd like to see the debates run by an outside (of politics) non-profit organization. Keep politics out of politics!!

Trump Jr., UFC star launch anti-socialism bus tour through South Florida

Is TheHill biased? Of course not because they just accidentally used a photo of Don, Jr. exiting Air Force One to grab attention to the article.

So far figures show that 22.4% of early voters in Georgia did not vote in the 2016 election

Which President Trump will claim is evidence of widespread voter fraud.

Who are these people ?

Illegals wearing hats I tell you.

How on earth can this be legal? Won’t a court fix this as soon as a suit is filed? Are the Republicans just going to appeal and appeal hoping to stay ahead of these legal challenges until Labor Day.

So I mentioned lawsuits having been filed concerning Texas governor Abbott's asinine "one ballot box per county" rule. Well, here's the result so far:

“By limiting ballot return centers to one per county, older and disabled voters living in Texas’s largest and most populous counties must travel further distances to more crowded ballot return centers where they would be at an increased risk of being infected by the coronavirus in order to exercise their right to vote and have it counted,” Pitman wrote.

“By forcing absentee voters to risk infection with a deadly disease to return their ballots in person or disenfranchisement if the (Postal Service) is unable to deliver their ballots in time, the October 1 Order imposes a burden on an already vulnerable voting population,” he said.

This will be appealed, of course - and note that this yet again highlights the importance of the judiciary branch, despite what a few Bernie stans have held for years and years. With the current Supreme Court being openly hostile to nonwhite voters in particular - again, Alito, Roberts, and Thomas all desire to toss out the 1965 VRA based on outright falsehoods - this could easily go badly going forwards, particularly in elections after the upcoming one.

It's the only sensible conclusion the judge could come to. But, as you say, an overtly very conservative SC could rule otherwise in the future. Thank goodness not in time for this election.

Why was there no problem with Farage attending Trump rallies (like the Tulsa one)?

Ow, of course,my bad.

That may well be, but maybe the arhument is that since only her father is white, she shouldn't be meddling with this voting business.
