I'll believe it when I see it, but this is classic Trump. Impulsive. Unplanned. He got the disease. He thinks this drug cured him. He wants to be the great guy and give it to everyone. Yay, Trump!

I would love the idea of government paying for effective treatments. That kind of limited single-payer health care would be a great step forward in a truly important fight, but I'd like to get some evaluation by people in the know, rather than one single case where it might have been effective, judged by the patient himself. So, good on him for proposing it. Seriously. Let's give credit where credit is due. Whether his motives are pure or not, he is proposing providing a treatment he believes to be effective at taxpayer expense. This is a great idea, but let's get confirmation from the scientists first, and get an actual plan together.

Too bad the infectious idiot in chief didn't first promote safety protocols as a preventative. Now we have an economy that is annihilated, as well as 215,000+ fellow Americans, with many more to follow, in addition to the long lasting physical and neurological difficulties the recovered will have to endure

So yeah, the idiot gets a gold star if he helps provide a therapeutic for a virus his considerable ineptitude help spread, I guess.

According to Bloomberg, which cited four sources familiar with official’s condition, Bailey grew sick before the Rose Garden event held on Sept. 26, in which President Trump nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court.

Since that event, more than 10 attendees — including the president, first lady Melania Trump and adviser Kellyanne Conway — have tested positive for the disease. However, the White House is not contact tracing attendees of the event, according to a report from The New York Times, which cited an unnamed White House official for its coverage earlier this week.

White House adviser Hope Hicks was also confirmed to have positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, shortly before it was discovered the president and the first lady had also been diagnosed with the disease.

No, just no. Anything related to the covid outbreak in the WH and Trump's all-caps, high on dex posting is quite different from all the other issues in the campaign.

He also said anyone who needs a test can get a test in March. He also said the virus was a hoax. He also said the virus would just go away. He also said he had a plan to address pre-existing conditions if the ACA goes away.

Being as the stupid bitch is still sick, why wouldn't we wait to at least see if it had any impact on his condition? I would never take a medication based only on what Trump or one of his Trumptrash said.

You do realize there is a middle ground between "We're all gonna die!" and "It'll soon go away. Like a miracle it will just disappear", right?

Leaders in other countries around the world have kept their populace up to date on the virus situation from day one. They've been up front with what was happening and what scientists were thinking was going to happen.

And guess what? No panic. Not in a single one of those countries.

Are americans really that fragile?

He should have learned from his betters, the leaders of the other industrialized democracies. They neither lied to their people nor did they tell everyone they were going to die. Instead because of Trump's incompetence and stupidity, he allowed what happened during the second weekend of March which was massive panic buying verging on food riots.

Now the stupid bitch has no credibility and he's trying to push a vaccine before it's ready and no one believes him. His murderous stupidity will likely prevent people from taking the vaccine even if it actually is safe and effective. The dumb **** could have tried to learn from those with superior leadership to his but he chose to remain a failure.

That's if you include micro nations, where even a half dozen deaths would put you high up on the list. San Marino has 42 deaths, making it top the list of worst hit countries.

If you take out the micro nations, USA is at number 8.

It's a safe thing to say, because we're not letting Americans in anyway.
 
And most of those cases are probably incoming travelers tested positive at airports.
