One of the things this forum could do with is an award for post of the month. We have a language one, but yours isn't ideal for that, because you didn't think it up, it's quoting Trump, but it's a work of genius, just the same.

What it is, is a great resource, well compiled - at, I imagine, a fair expense of time - documenting most of the truly insane things Trump has said so far on Covid.

Donald Trump is in need of serious medical help.

The president recently responded to a tweet with the following message:

Wow!!! NOW DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, THE BIGGEST OF ALL POLITICAL SCANDALS (IN HISTORY)!!! BIDEN, OBAMA AND CROOKED HILLARY LED THIS TREASONOUS PLOT!!! BIDEN SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO RUN - GOT CAUGHT!!!

The strangest part of all? The tweet that triggered all of this was from January of 2018.

It would be funny (and not totally unexpected) if he said "OBAMA SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO RUN!".

Seriously...Trump can't be blamed for exercising a little of the sort of foresight that we hope our Presidents will show, and it's just nasty ol' hindsight to show where he went wrong...but Biden is factually wrong for things that never happened.

I heard some really good news out of the White House. Aides are telling reporters that Trump is having trouble breathing again. This is a most excellent development. It would be just perfect if Trump were in the ICU instead of at the debate.

Is that like any of the thousands of promises he has made and failed to deliver on? Trump would and has told us all kinds of things over and over again that never come to fruition. Everything from promises to be faithful to his wives and pay off his debts to the number of jobs his resorts would provide to the testing for COVID and so on and so on.

The burden is on you to demonstrate this. I mean, get real, 216,125 people and counting have died. The rate of death in the US is unequalled in any other major world power. Yes! Exactly! So how do you get to ---> You will never find me saying that Trump is literally guilty of murder but his incompetence, inaction and ongoing denial of a big problem is enough to make him responsible for the deaths of an excess of Americans. He isn't responsible for Covid 19. That was just blind luck. He's responsible for downplaying the danger and not doing ****-all to mitigate it.


If Biden (or even Clinton) had been our President I do know one thing that would have been true: They would have not hobbled the CDC. They would have listened to the science and experts. There is no way to accurately predict what that would have meant in terms of deaths in the US; however, we have the expereience of other countries that listened to the science and the results speak for themselves.

Because Trump's actions indicate such. More directly, though, given Trump, all the restrictions actually were was a "China bad! I'm tough on China! Re-elect me!" ploy. If you actually look at the implementation of the restrictions and surrounding action - or rather, lack thereof, any claim that it was actually about or effective at dealing with COVID becomes quite absurd.

I'll believe it when I see it, but this is classic Trump. Impulsive. Unplanned. He got the disease. He thinks this drug cured him. He wants to be the great guy and give it to everyone. Yay, Trump!

I would love the idea of government paying for effective treatments. That kind of limited single-payer health care would be a great step forward in a truly important fight, but I'd like to get some evaluation by people in the know, rather than one single case where it might have been effective, judged by the patient himself. So, good on him for proposing it. Seriously. Let's give credit where credit is due. Whether his motives are pure or not, he is proposing providing a treatment he believes to be effective at taxpayer expense. This is a great idea, but let's get confirmation from the scientists first, and get an actual plan together.

The wall is going up. I've seen it. We left the Iran deal. China has been called on trade and punished for stealing intellectual property and tariffs applied. Obamacare is currently tied up in court but I feel that promise will be kept as well. US is energy independent and now has an excess of energy production. My personal watch list has all been checked off.

Also, this has been the tac that Trump supporters on social media have been taking: That nobody could have done any better. They assert (without evidence) that Clinton would have had a higher body count by now, and list the pathetic handful of things he actually did as if they were god-inspired decisions. I've seen it play out several times and its the same game.

Like our own guy here, they never answer my comment about how I think any other GOP candidate from the Republican Primaries would have done a better job than Trump when they get into raging about Trump critics are just partisan.
