No....and maybe. The President has to sign a letter transferring power or the cabinet must vote that yes the President is incapacitated. Only in the event of those two events or the President dying does the VP take charge.

The White house has a well equipped medical facility. If he's only showing mild symptoms why would they need to take him to Walter Reed? Like I said earlier, they lied about how serious presidents' medical conditions were historically. We didn't know that Reagan almost died until well after he had recovered from the assassination attempt. We didn't know about Wilson's strokes or Roosevelt's poor health in 1945. His death came as a shock to the nation. And there is still suspicion about Reagan having Alzheimer's before leaving office.

Why should it take eight of their votes to act? Mr Trump's physician Sean Conley said in a statement earlier on Friday that the president had "as a precautionary measure received an 8g dose of Regeneron's polyclonal antibody cocktail" at the White House. The medication is administered to help reduce virus levels and speed recovery.

He was also taking zinc, vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin and aspirin, Dr Conley said.

"As of this afternoon he remains fatigued but in good spirits," he added. The first lady was "well with only a mild cough and headache".
