That was disturbing. I've known some transsexual women, and they were genuinely feminine. This... is not that. I sincerely hope this is some strange niche of online weirdos and nothing more.

No. The like I put on that tweet has never shifted. The retweet vanished twice but I just retweeted it again. It's just a twitter glitch, it happens to lots of tweets but mostly people don't watch the numbers of likes obsessively.

It was the items noted in that particular thread, the grotesque view of women as sexual objects, and the desire to be :dumb slutty whores". That was... a horrible caricature of women, and profoundly misogynistic to me.

The incidents I read about were mostly in the real world. I don't think you can rape or assault someone via twitter.

I know several perfectly nice transwomen too, but this type of thing is getting more and more common as the extreme edge of the narcissistic autogynaephile demographic becomes bolder with affirmation, lionisation and legal protection.

And quite frankly I'm more concerned with keeping these perverts out of women's single-sex spaces than I am about the feelz of transwomen in general, even the inoffensive ones.

TERFS: How exactly does shutting down one rape shelter accomplish anything? Even by your own logic, isn't the effort better spent in, you know, expanding unisex services rather than shutting down single-sex services?

Trans people: You know, the TERFS do have a point. If I were to ever need a rape shelter I'd prefer finding myself able to get accommodated in one because our leaders spent their effort expanding unisex services, as opposed to not finding a spot in the available unisex services but at least knowing that neither do the people who'd have preferred single-sex services because our leaders did spend their effort in getting that one single-sex service shut down.

Also, there are some concerns about whether this whole thing with nailing dead rats to the doors of rape shelters and suing immigrant women for refusing to wax someone's balls is actually helpful here.

I don't believe it would be an issue if all changing rooms were open to all genders. Jonathan Swift knew this 300 years ago.

I actually think co-ed locker rooms and showers this would actually fix a lot of issues. I know it'd be a major change and I don't see it happening any time soon, but one can dream.

It wouldn't make anyone happy. The females who value single-sex spaces would be unhappy, and the males who get their kicks from "exisiting" in female-only spaces would also be unhappy. They absolutely don't want unisex facilities, they want segregated facilities so that they can glory in being in the wrong one. Look at the reaction if a third unisex space is suggested. They don't "just want to pee", they want to be in the female spaces as of right and a unisex space doesn't satisfy them.

Did you mean dream, or fantasize?

Co-ed showers would work just fine for me, but I'm a guy. Having a co-ed locker room at the gym would have double benefits. Not only would I get to see naked women, but it would give me extra incentive to spend more time working out.

When a majority of women start saying that they would like or at least would not object to mixed sex showers, I would take this suggestion seriously. As it is, I think the suggestion would be much more welcomed by men than women.
