Wasn't that a while ago?

According to CNN, it was today.

The US Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency use authorization for the use of convalescent plasma to treat Covid-19 on Sunday, saying the "known and potential benefits of the product outweigh the known and potential risks of the product."

The article says the EUA was put on hold last week after the NIH said there wasn't enough data to support it, but the FDA said "We don't care what you say. You're not the boss of us. Nyaah!".

Late to this party: Reality is that someone else probably attended Wharton for Trump, for money. So Donny really has no idea what he did at that school. ;)

What do you expect from someone who thinks that tariffs are paid by the country the tariffs are placed on and not the consumer?:confused::confused::confused:

No, actually, you didn't.

You're right, she didn't fix that for you. That's easy to see at a glance. In the comment of yours which she and you are referring to, you wrote:

Do you think agree with this statement: Global warming is the cause of the wildfires in CA?

I don't.

Obviously, Do you think agree with this statement is incorrect. You should have simply written Do you agree with this statement. But you didn't. And Skeptic Ginger let that error remain in the revised version of your comment which she posted, so you're right about her not having fixed what you wrote.

But you're wrong when you say:

I asked a question which you completely ignored.

No. She didn't ignore your question; you ignored her answer.

In your original comment, you expressed the opinion that global warming is not the cause of the wildfires in California. And technically that's true; generally it's something else which is the immediate cause of the wildfires.

But many things which are technically true are misleading, and your comment is a good example of that. So Skeptic Ginger addressed your statement by correcting it to say that Global warming is the cause of the significant increase in numbers, and severity of the wildfires in California.

In other words, global warming doesn't directly cause the fires. But it has created conditions where it's more likely for there to be such fires and it has created conditions where those fires are likely to be much more severe than they would be without global warming. (For example, global warming has created conditions which have led to more dry leaves being available during fire season both to catch fire and to keep fires going and spreading once they get started.)

It seems to me that you're the one who's been evading the matter since then. By what she wrote, Skeptic Ginger agreed that global warming is generally not the cause of the fires, but pointed out that it is the cause of the significant increase in the number and severity of the fires.

I haven't seen you respond to that yet. Do you agree or disagree with Skeptic Ginger's statement that global warming is the cause of the significant increase in the number and severity of the fires California has been experiencing? And if you disagree with that statement, why do you disagree? Because it appears to me that Skeptic Ginger is correctly stating what climate scientists have been telling us about this matter.

3 in 4 Republicans say US is in better shape than four years ago: poll

John Bowden08/23/20 02:44 PM EDT

Republican voters hold a rosier view of the country's overall state compared to four years ago than do Democrats heading in to this week's Republican National Convention (RNC), a new poll finds.

A CBS News poll of registered voters nationwide found that 75 percent of Republican-identified voters say the country is better off now than it was four years ago; just 25 percent of GOP respondents said it wasn't. Overall, just 35 percent of registered voters say the country is better off while 65 percent said it wasn't.

Jesus Christ on a Pogo Stick! What ******* bizzaro planet are these idiots living on?

Kellyanne Conway quits.

Kellyanne Conway announced Sunday night she's stepping down from her position as counselor to President Trump "Gratefully & Humbly" to spend more time with her family at the end of the month.
Well, bye.

and Phil Macracken.

Hmm... I just watched this MSNBC segment that links Trump's Post Office interference back to his feud with Bezos and Trump's repeated attempts to pointedly hurt Bezos in relation to the USPS. Seems to check out. Also, apparently, there have been a lot of dead (murdered, really) chicks because of DeJoy.

I have a feeling there might be more to it than that:

Rat jumping off a sinking ship;
Last-ditch attempt to save her marriage; or
About to drop a tell-all blockbuster book about 2-3 weeks before the election.

Or some combination of the above.

Given the person we are talking about, I'm going with the book deal.

Just found this:

Kellyanne Conway announces she's leaving the White House and George Conway is stepping away from Lincoln Project

Washington (CNN) - White House counselor Kellyanne Conway announced Sunday evening she will leave her post at the end of the month and George Conway said he was withdrawing from The Lincoln Project, both citing a need to focus on their family.

Sounds like they're trying to save their marriage.

Those are not good numbers for Trump. To begin with, the percentage of people that identify themselves as Republicans has dropped by at least 10 percent. Second, two thirds of overall registered voters ten weeks before the General election say the country is worse off. And Trump doesn't have any real plan to make it better. This tells us what we have known.

This is going to have to be an incredible convention for Trump or he's toast.

Kellyanne Conway quits.

This is likely to do with growing domestic dysfunction in her family. Husband George Conway simultaneously announced that he is stepping back from the anti-Trump Lincoln Project, and there have been reports that their teenage daughter has said via social media that she is taking steps to seek emancipation.

And I thought my family was dysfunctional. :boggled:
