Isn't that hilarious? I would have liked to have seen that arrest.

Add to that, the people who were scammed thought they were funding Trump's pet project. Not only didn't Mexico pay for the wall. They didn't either.Bannon’s indictment for fraud makes the news because he is a well known, public figure. He is a well known public figure for a number of reasons, but prominent reasons are his relationship with Trump and his role and influence in the Trump administration. Expecting his relationship to Trump to be ignored in discussions of his indictment would be like expecting an arrest of Ivanka for heroin trafficking to not mention Trump.
Add to that, the people who were scammed thought they were funding Trump's pet project. Not only didn't Mexico pay for the wall. They didn't either.
The notion that this story doesn't involve Trump borders on the surreal.
Not to digress too far, but why does Bannon always wear two collared shirts, as he did in court today? Who does that? What kind of fashion statement is that? In addition to the awful appearance, I would think it would be uncomfortable. Has he ever explained the practice?
“Friends” of Bannon said the shirt thing is something he picked up at military prep school, and that he refers to it as beach fashion. A representative for Benedictine College Preparatory, the Virginia school from which Bannon graduated in 1971, said he didn’t know anything about multiple shirts being worn by students there currently or in the past, but that it was possible. “I don’t know what the uniform was exactly when Mr. Bannon was here,” Mike Forster told me. “It ranges from wearing camouflage fatigues and sometimes dress shirts, or pants and tunics. There’s not multiple shirts.” Forster added that he and Bannon are roughly the same age, “and I remember, when I was in college, there were kids who wore multiple shirts. They’d wear a turtleneck with a shirt and a jacket.” Many of the men featured in a promotional video on the school’s website appear to be wearing at least two shirts at once, which is a start.
May I respectfully suggest that the use of the funds received was better than using them to build a Wall? Some people actually enjoyed themselves. Who enjoys a wall?![]()

At the risk of bringing up Kris Kobach again (it's a risk I'm willing to take) this is what he said in its entirety:
"I was speaking with the President and we were talking about a variety of issues and the topic came up and I mentioned that I was working with We Build the Wall and he said 'Will you tell the people you're working with that this project has my blessing.' "
So whom do I believe? Kris Kobach who said this a year and a half ago or Trump who has a loooooooong history of denying knowing about things he damn good and well knew about when things go bad?
Although I don't necessarily "trust Kris Kobach", in the context, I see little reason to doubt this particular statement. It happened long before this indictment. Kobach is not one of the 4 defendants named in the indictment either. It's certainly possible that neither Kobach nor Trump was aware that funds were being misused or embezzled at the time. I also don't recall Trump making any public statement against the We Build the Wall project prior to Bannon et al's arrests. (Then again, I'm also not sure if he made any public statement in support of it either. I'm not counting what his son said.)
ETA: Kobach said he was "working with" them. Was it pro bono work, or was he being paid from the donations?
The way I've always imagined Stevo winding up. Despicable, ain't it?![]()

Multiple people familiar with the matter tell NBC News there is a separate federal inquiry involving a company linked to both men, GTV Media Group. As The Wall Street Journal first reported Wednesday, the FBI, the New York state attorney general and the Securities and Exchange Commission are examining whether securities laws were violated during a $300 million private offering by the company this spring, the sources say. In a memo to potential investors, according to The Journal, the company identified Bannon as one of several prominent directors.
I seriously doubt either Kobach or Trump knew anything about the fraud either, but like you, I see no reason for Kobach to lie about this. Trump, on the other hand....
"You want me on that wall... you NEED me on that wall!"
Well I certainly will not try to tie Trump to this alleged fraud unless some evidence surfaces in the future.
Instead, what I would comment on is that when this group of fraudsters looked at the crowds of people chanting "Build the wall", they saw a flock of sheep that was waiting to be fleeced.
I enjoy a good Harvey Wallbanger once in a while.
That's good. Because I heard OJ kills...Try one with grapefruit juice. I did and I would never go back to oj.
