The Federal employees and guards at her facility saw how the DoJ, FBI, and other government agencies have come down on the guys who screwed up with Epstein. Internal Affairs is already a nightmare, but then having an army of investigators crawling up your colon is enough to make the folks guarding Maxwell to quadruple-check everything.

As far as I am aware, there have been no repercussions for anyone involved in the Epstein mishandling. Short of bluster of course.

There are at least three active investigations. These things take time because, unlike Conspiracy Theory Land there are real-world consequences for the accused, and for those doing the investigations if they get something wrong. The hardest one to get past will be the one initiated by the judge overseeing the case.

Investigations take time if they are done right.

There does rather seem to be a pattern here.
whatsthedreamnow: Your concerns spring from an expectation that justice happens instantly, and when it doesn't, that looks suspicious to you.
Life doesn't work that way, and this is especially true for the justice system, of any country. Trials and investigations take years. It is a mistake to fill that intervening time with conspiratorial thinking.

Instantly? Epstein pled guilty in 2008 to the absurdly reduced charges that led to his mildly inconveniencing 11 months. How many years are enough?

Life doesn't work what way? The way it seems to work is that, with enough money, you can delay justice for years, longer. And when your day gets close, you make the problem go away. With plausible deniability of course.

You left out the key factor of the 2008 conviction and plea deal.

It took place in Palm Beach, Florida. Google the phrase "Florida - Miscarriage of Justice" and you'll get the London phone book. The state is great at prosecuting innocent people and poor people, but the wealthy usually skate. That's one of the reasons they live there.

I understand that perfectly well. Let's not forget the U.S. Attorney who personally ensured Epstein's pass was later appointed as Secretary of Labor by a President who repeatedly wished well the grand madame of child sex abuse. I stand by my statement that none of these people will be held accountable and Ms. Maxwell's expiration date is coming soon.
