Wait...what? Jack by the Hedge has demonstrated in the recent past a not inconsiderable talent for writing spy-thriller plots so it is somewhat astonishing he has no idea how a 'world satanic ring' might work, given his hitherto impressive powers of imagination. Since people seem pusillanimous about this entire topic, let me have a go at describing how a world satanic ring might operate (and some might say very successfully, so far).
Step number one: start a satanic cult. This can be based on every day observation of how popular religions operate. So you set up a 'temple', with an 'altar' and perhaps some images of how you imagine satan might look. This could be based on the ancient Egyptian/Babylon/Canaan pre-Christian/Judean/Islamic gods. So you might erect a statue or painting of same above the altar orr behind it. Next you need some kind of ceremony to (a) swear allegiance to this god, and (b) invoke the god's presence. This could be in imitation of the sacrament wherein red wine and bread is partaken to represent the imbibing of the body - the blood and flesh - of Christ. To invoke the presence of your chosen deity, perhaps have trance-like chants, incense for aroma, darkened lighting, with atmospheric candles to get into a receptive mood. Borrowing from ancient scriptures, you really need a 'high priest (or priestess)' to guide the followers of your cult. For people to understand this is a priest you need to dress him in priestly robes and maybe tall hats to signify authority. These deities need appeasing: if they can bring you wealth and prosperity, they can also wreak havoc and destruction if similarly angered or insulted b their followers. So this is where the concept of 'sacrifice' comes in, another ancient idea; 'tithes' meaning you contribute one-tenth of your wealth - whether in the form of money or what you grow on your land - to the deity via the temple or the priest. A 'satanic' sacrifice based on ancient religions could be high priestesses - aka temple prostitutes' offering sex on the altar (and history suggests this did happen). The earliest sacrifice mentioned in the bible is God telling Abraham in a dream it was time to sacrifice his first-born, Isaac as a burnt offering to demonstrate his faith. The story has God letting him off the hook at the last minute as Abraham was about to plunge a dagger into Isaac but it was the continued custom to give all first born livestock, and first crops, 'in sacrifice' to God. So, for a satanist, sacrificing babies and illicit sex as a religious rite is nothing unremarkable or not an extension of logic as to what happens in religious rites.
How to make it global. Throw in lavish food and drink. Parties wherein people get to mix with celebrities, such as Mick Jagger and Naomi Campbell. Attend lectures by Hawking and Pinker. Throw in lots of attractive young adults who have been made available for rumpy-pumpy, because, let's face it most of the world's rich and famous are getting on in years as people don't inherit until quite late in life. So it is not uncommon to see loads off middle-aged men at night clubs and discos mingling with sweet pretty young things, with transactional arrangements made by mutual consent. Except there is a legal age limit. Very young adult become 'jail bait'. Because of the illegality, you have to do what homosexual prowling men used to have to do, and that is, invent slang words to hide the nature of your activity. These slang words commonly take the form of words for food, So, for example, a young boy might be referred to as 'a chicken'; and we see in the Epstein files lots of food references about pizza, cheese and steak 'running out'. We see examples of requests asking people to bring back a 'baby or two' from Africa.
How to keep them hooked. Intelligence agencies get wind of these wild parties and hook ups with world famous celebrities so they hire key figures to film and record the goings on. Encourage people to text, to put everything in writing. Offer generous loans. For example, you have befriended members of the British Royal Family, via the daughter of another operative, who had a near state burial in a sovereign country other than his country of birth or the UK of which he was a citizen. She is a friend of a Prince and introduces you to him, a very useful contact as he is also a randy git who is delighted with the young attractive jailbait (by USA legal standards) he is supplied with via a third party. So fast forward to when the pimp at the centre of providing shall we say, 'entertainment' is arrested, mostly under house arrest for a few months circa 2008.
