He's probably trying to talk about prison labor and the 13th amendment again. The 13th banned chattel slavery, specifically, but has a massive hole for prison labor which is why we ended up with things like vagrancy laws throughout the south in the wake on the end of reconstruction (and, incidentally, why Trump's "show me your papers" demands for Obama was so flagrantly and ignorantly racist as hell).

A lot of us...kinda think it is, since that'd be the only reason to "repeal" (we assumed he meant "replace", or "rewrite") the 13th, but people in mid-mania can have thoughts that are rather cluttered sometimes.

I continue to maintain megalomania is not necessarily a character defect. Many bees think they should be the queen, or will be, but very few are right.

And it may be a character benefit evolutionarily, to the benefit of the species.

Word is that Republican political operatives are doing the legwork to get him on the ballot in as many states as possible. Many or maybe most states won't be possible but there's a few of them where the bar to getting on the ballot is set pretty low.

For all my issues with both the Bush family and John McCain, I believe both had enough basic decency to not exploit a person they knew to be mentally ill.

Any Republican trying to get Kanye on a ballot is doing so in the cynical belief that a significant number of black people will vote for him over any white candidate.

I think so too. However, the belief might be mistaken. I doubt many people who would have otherwise voted for Biden will be fooled by this. Whether any potential Trump voters might be fooled is another question. But in the end, I imagine either group will be too small to make a significant difference either way.
