Twitter Bans 7000 Qanon accounts

Twitter firmly slamming the barn door shut after all the horses have run out. Better late than never, I suppose.
 
Someone said that they're not actually banned but now those specific accounts have be run through the CampFema™ portal.
 
This doesn't sound like it is banning them for their content or speech but rather their behavior:
The Twitter spokesperson also said the company had taken down more than 7,000 QAnon accounts in the last couple weeks for breaking its rules against platform manipulation, spam or ban evasion.

The sweeping enforcement action will ban QAnon-related terms from appearing in trending topics and the platform's search feature, ban known QAnon-related URLs and prohibit "swarming" of people who are baselessly targeted by coordinated harassment campaigns pushed by QAnon followers.

It's clear that they were over the target and the establishment had to shut them down in a vain effort to prevent #thegreatawakening!
 
I had to look up QAnon. Now there is a CT that makes Footers and Truthers look sane.

I think by now we all know that there are some very powerful people in the world. And they do much of their work behind the scenes. But "a cabal of international pedophiles"? Geeze, all they would need to add is "Quantum" to make it plain that it's all made up.

Every election run-up since Nixon has had the rumor that the incumbent will not step down, that he will declare himself dictator. But this is a frsh nuance, that past presidents are going to boot him.

Politics 101: Keep the people scared so they vote for you to lead them to safety.

Really? I recall nothing of this sort for Obama, Carter, Clinton, Ford, Reagan or Bush Mk1 & 2.

Be honest now, have there been any presidents in living memory outside of Nixon and Trump who have been so openly corrupt, have lied so much, and have tried to use the DoJ as their own personal hit squad?

I certainly recall it towards Clinton, Bush 2, and Obama. I was too young to remember much about Reagan and Bush 1 outside of the big stuff such as Reagan getting shot, his comment about nuking Russia, and the Iran Contra mess, then with Bush 1, the 2nd Persian Gulf War. We probably got less US Politics in the news too.

No (though others probably think that Clinton had his own death squad, and that Obama did all sorts of illegal things with the DoJ, mostly to stop Trump being elected.)

I had heard of this, but I hadn't realized just how popular it had become during the pandemic.

It's been discussed here over in the CT subforum since 2018. The BBC video says that membership in QAnon Facebook groups has risen by 700% since the start of the pandemic. And it's spreading to other countries.

There was a gruesome murder in Sweden last year with possible Qanon connections. The killer said that his 17 year old girlfriend - whom he murdered and cut to pieces - was in league with the US Democrats and Hillary Clinton to promote paedophilia or something like that.
