queue the gun fetishists telling us that they aren't 'silencers'
Well, they're not. They lower the volume a bit, but not by much.
They're called suppressors, by the way.
Go ahead and call me a gun fetishist now!

He'd love to have his own propaganda TV channel.
They seem to make a big difference in sound.
Would be hard to tell if these suppressed sounds came from guns:

If the audio is representative then they truly work - the suppressed sounds just sound like machinery/a mechanical switch of some type opening or closing.
From what thingymyjib (sorry can't recall name at the moment) has posted about them in the past I'm doubly surprised, I really though they didn't make much difference.
Yes, I think the gun fetishists successfully gaslit the forum for a long time.
Do you define "gun fetishist" as someone who claims that suppressors still leaves guns pretty loud?
When they know better, yes.
White House Press Secretary @KayleighMcEnany: President @realDonaldTrump has a great record when it comes to the LGBT community
What?
What??
WHAT???
What?
What??
WHAT???
Someone needs to get her to provide any evidence of Trump being *aware* of the LGBT community, far less doing anything to actually support and defend it. That is off-the-scale spin. Oh and drag Pence into it as well, he's the VP, he can defend his bigoted, close-minded attitudes alongside his self-obsessed boss.
'Great record' my patootie.
I disagree. In the past presidential approval ratings have sunk as low as the 20's because approval isn't the same as expressing a voting preference. A significant proportion of those people who disapproved of Dubya's performance in 2008 so that his approval rating sank into the mid-20's fully intended to vote GOP at the next election.
The 40% approval rating for President Trump really means that 40% of the US electorate actively approval of what he's doing otherwise they'd disapprove or be a "don't know". It's difficult to believe but 40% of Americans look at the way President Trump is executing the role of President and think "he's doing a good job", not that he's better than some putative alternative.
I know Dunning-Kruger is over-used and misused, but if we go back to the original findings, it is pretty safe to say that people who are not good at political analysis often think they are very good at political analysis. And the situation is worse than the researchers described. During their study, there was no popular TV channel telling bad guitarists that they were good guitarists, but there is a popular TV channel telling people with bad political analysis skills that they really have excellent political analysis skills.
Of course trump is aware of the lgbt community... After all he removed Obama's changes regarding allowing trans people to serve in the military. Why would he have done that if he didn't recognize trans people?Someone needs to get her to provide any evidence of Trump being *aware* of the LGBT community, far less doing anything to actually support and defend it. That is off-the-scale spin.

Many of these folks aren’t people who smell the stench, hold their noses, and say that they approve of Trump. These are people who smell the stench and say, “finally we have a politician that smells like me.”
Perhaps better in the other thread, but how will that 40% change when Covid-19 deaths (per voting population) in ruby red places approach those in the tri-state area (NYC, a few other NY counties, a handful of NJ and CT counties)?President Trump's approval rating is 40% because 40% of people really do approve of what he's doing and how he's doing it.
If they didn't, his approval numbers would be down (even if those people still end up voting GOP). After all anonymously disapproving in a poll is a different thing than casting your ballot for another party.
Again, this goes back to President Trump being a symptom rather than a cause. Fooling ourselves into thinking that people will "come to their senses" is, IMO, very dangerous. I think that the 40% know exactly what they want, and President Trump is delivering it.![]()

By my count, they’re still ~<15%, but will likely rise steadily now ...
