So after urging on armed protestors who didn't want to wear masks and basically denouncing such measures time and again, Trump just flip flops and the silence from his supporters is deafening.

Does anyone notice that the real Polls, as opposed to the Fake Suppression Polls also used in 2016, are starting to define Sleepy Joe Biden as someone totally ill-equipped to control the Radical Left, Crime, Cancel Culture, or to even come close to me on REBUILDING THE ECONOMY?

Do RINO’S Pat Toomey & Mitt Romney have any problem with the fact that we caught Obama, Biden, & Company illegally spying on my campaign? Do they care if Comey, McCabe, Page & her lover, Peter S, the whole group, ran rampant, wild & unchecked - lying & leaking all the way? NO!

I know many in business and politics that work out endlessly, in some cases to a point of exhaustion. It is their number one passion in life, but nobody complains. My “exercise” is playing, almost never during the week, a quick round of golf. Obama played more and much longer....

...rounds, no problem. When I play, Fake News CNN, and others, park themselves anywhere they can to get a picture, then scream “President Trump is playing golf.” Actually, I play VERY fast, get a lot of work done on the golf course, and also get a “tiny” bit of exercise. Not bad!

We have now built 240 Miles of new Border Wall on our Southern Border. We will have over 450 Miles built by the end of the year. Have established some of the best Border Numbers ever. The Radical Left Democrats want Open Borders for anyone, including many criminals, to come in!

Perhaps it wouldn't be an issue had you not previously said "I'm going to be working for you. I'm not going to have time to play golf".

Actually, I was thinking about just this.

Changes in prospects that shift to a chance of defeat actually seem to create power struggles against the leader, rather than under him.

Himmler had abandoned his post and fled with intention to surrender to the Western Allies at that point. Granted, less of a coup, and more of a sinking ship, but my point is that when the writing's on the wall, it seems like the sucking up to the leadership ceases.

I was talking to my wife about this.

My parents are an interesting demonstration of selective memory. The current Tories here in Canada have jumped on the Trump bandwagon and are talking about how NAFTA was a liberal plot to give away our economy to foreigners. Only traitors would have supported NAFTA back in the day.

"If only we'd listened to Brian Mulroney and his warnings against NAFTA."


Narrator's voice: The Tories were essentially "the Party Of NAFTA" and considered their 1988 election to be a national referendum favouring NAFTA. Brian Mulroney was the Canadian signatory.



So, by the same token, I fully expect yes, Trumpies will look back at the covid19 era as "That time Trump tried to save the world by advising us all to wear masks, but the weak libtards wouldn't do it, the bureaucrats at the CDC tried to pass a law against masks and went door to door seizing our precious supply. Really, there's blood on their hands."

You can damn well bet that as we near election day, Trump will make certain that his Fred Flinstone-looking lap dog Bill Barr makes up something about this fantasy.
 
And a poll by the dallas morning news is giving Biden a 5 point lead in Texas. Texas.

That could just be an outlier, but either way that can't be good news for Trump. Even if it's off by 5 points, that puts Texas as a dead heat.

We’ve got very much the same thing in the UK over Brexit; the Brexiteers are blaming remainers for the failure to get a deal in the trade negotiations despite the fact that it was Brexiteers who were put in charge of them.

I think he wasn't pardoned for one reason: a pardon removes a person's 5th amendment right to not self-incriminate because they do not face punishment for that crime. A commutation does not.

On your second paragraph, you're probably right. But it remains that he's a convicted criminal, just not one who will be imprisoned. Even Trump can do the right thing - or at least, the defensible thing - for the wrong reason.

I have a pretty high scandal threshold. Nothing to do with Trump; I've been this way for decades. I understood Ford's pardoning of Nixon and at the time I was a teenager with no love for Nixon.

Stone didn't want a pardon which carries an assumption of admitting guilt, although not technically true. He says he intends to pursue getting his conviction overturned which, if pardoned, he could not do.

Not only is Trump abusing his power of pardon/commutation to the reward and benefit of a long time loyalist but, I believe, he sees Stone as a representation of himself. When Trump said/tweeted the following, he wasn't really speaking about Stone but about himself:

“Roger Stone was treated horribly. He was treated very unfairly."

"(Stone) was targeted by an illegal Witch Hunt that never should have taken place. It is the other side that are criminals, including Biden and Obama, who spied on my campaign - AND GOT CAUGHT!"

I don't understand the mind set that this egregious abuse of office is not seen as appalling.
