President Trump Approval Rating in the Republican Party at 96%. Thank You!

His constant repeating of this shows he reaaaaaaaally needs this reassurance. He's trying to convince himself. However, that number is not true:

Now, Rasmussen's latest polling, which was published Tuesday, shows that Trump's support among Republicans has declined by 4 points since mid-June. It now stands at 80 percent, down from 84 percent.

Credibility shredded? British court identifies at least five inaccurate or unproven allegations in just one of the many memos that made up Christopher Steele’s anti-Trump dossier | Just The News https://justthenews.com/accountabil...court-rules-against-christopher-steele-orders

OMG!! Five. Count 'em! FIVE!!

That's child's play. Trump can (and does) do that in one sentence.

I agree he went cap in hand and swallowed his pride almost 4 years ago. But since then, he was they ONLY GOP senator to place a guilty vote at the impeachment. That showed guts and honor as does his condemnation of Stone's commutation. I don't care if it's 'sour grapes' as you put it. It still took more courage and honor than any other GOP Congress member has shown.

I'm not so generous. He voted guilty on one of the impeachment charges, the abuse of power one, but not the other. Also bear in mind he probably has the safest seat of any Senator so there's absolutely no downside for him. I'd go so far as to say he stuck his neck out but "guts" and "honor"? No sale here.

After 'predicting' the virus was "nothing," that it was 'harmless," that it would be a bad memory "by Easter Sunday," trump waits until the United States has the most cases and most deaths of any nation on earth, and the virus is surging to new levels, and NOW he wears a mask. Why bother?
The United States on Friday reached 60,000 new cases for the first time, and the number ultimately soared to more than 68,000 — setting a single-day record for the seventh time in 11 days, according to a New York Times database. As outbreaks continued alarming growth in the South and West, officials in two battered states threatened to retreat from reopenings that had followed a national lull in confirmed infections. I agree with this. Utah generally hates Trump even though they are unlikely to vote Democrat in a Presidential election.

It's home to the biggest conservative religious nuts in America. That said, they are the most civil people you might find anywhere. Kindness and respect are basic tenets of their religion and Trump is the antithesis to that. They will side with one of their own every time over an outsider...especially Trump. Romney knows he is safe.

Why are you being so lenient!? He deserves to get eaten by a T-Rex! And slowly!

I'm hoping he finds out he's infected by COVID the day he loses the election and is put on a ventilator a few days later. He comes off the ventilator on January 20 and is indicted by the NY AG on the 21st.

Maybe that's why ol' Scooter didn't get a full pardon?

Dubya was in a spot. In a pickle. Between a rock and a hard place.
The judge was adamant, Scooter had had enough of jail. The judge said Scooter had to talk to get his sentence reduced, Scooter was going to do it.
If Scooter talked, Cheney was going to be impeached and removed and Karl Rove was going to prison. Dubya didn't like it, but he was forced into it to save the tatters of his legacy.
That's my conspiracy theory and I'm sticking to it.

People close to Trump fear he won’t listen. “You can’t underestimate how hard it is to get information through to him,” a Republican close to the White House said. “When you talk to him, he just talks at you. He doesn’t like to read memos, so there’s not really a way to get through to him. Everyone agrees.” (The White House declined to comment.)
Shouldn’t that be overestimate?

re: Romney and his criticism of Trump over commuting Stone's sentence

Something else to keep in mind:

Despite his criticisms of Trump (and his vote to impeach), he often votes in favor of the Trump agenda. While that may not be a surprise for a republican, some of his votes have been 1) to confirm Barr (i.e. Trump's enabler in the DoJ), and Rattcliffe 2) opposing disaster relief money, some of which would have gone to Puerto Rico, 3) against rules that would restrict Trump from acting against Iran without congressional approval (so the guy that he has condemned as corrupt has the ability to do whatever he wants in Iran.)

It should also be noted that while he wasn't a senator at the time, he says he would have voted to confirm Drunky McRapeface to the supreme court. (Yet strangely enough he says he would act in a 'bipartisan' way... some might question just how bipartisan you will be if you are willing to support perhaps the most divisive nomination in decades.)

So yeah, Romney's integrity is certainly.... questionable.

Shouldn’t that be overestimate?

I'm sorry to say that the expression "You can't over/underestimate..." has been badly misunderstood for some time. You'll be complaining a lot if you post every time someone abuses it.

Might as well complain about "I could care less".

I don't understand why Solomon, who obviously had some cred as a columnist for The Hill or whatever his job was, is resorting to this kind of dishonest propaganda.

Not to mention “penultimate!”

I agree, it's an all-new low even for trump. First, the pressure to get DOJ to drop its case against Michael Flynn -- after he'd pleaded guilty! -- now this. You just really really hope at some point the Republicans will say enough. trump is destroying our democracy piece-by-piece. :(

Hope trump comes down with coronavirus? I hope he gets hit by a truck!

Why are you being so lenient!? He deserves to get eaten by a T-Rex! And slowly!

I think it would be far more appropriate for him to spend an extended amount of time in a hospital, on a ventilator, sick with Covid-19. Followed by the common ending to such a development with the disease.

I agree with your evaluation of the way Romney would be treated by the voters of Utah.

But as to the highlighted, it is apparent you have not spent much time in company of or the home territories of Southern Baptists.

The wildest, most foam-at-the-mouth, fundi Mormon would barely tip the needle past 'moderate' among most Southern Baptists.

And there are one hell of a lot more of them than there are Mormons.

Romney is a Republican, and Trump was the newly elected Republican President. Trump apparently dangled SecState in front of him and he responded, handing Trump the opportunity to publicly humiliate him. I would have respected him more if he had said "Please drop dead," but at least some Republicans -- Mattis particularly -- went to work for Trump in hopes of protecting the government.

Is there any evidence he didn’t say drop dead?
No matter what he said, President Trump would have accused him of sour grapes because he asked for a job and didn’t get it.

Coronavirus Linked To Brain Damage

People can experience experiences delirium, hallucinations, and psychosis
due to brain malfunctions caused by the virus. I assume his staff want him
to wear a mask to protect him from the virus.

Say, didn't another staffer get the virus recently, like a day or two ago?

Oh, gawd...don't get me started on that one. I think I finally broke my sister of saying that. Now if I can only get her to stop saying "I can't hardly..."

???

Had some cred? ...Not really, beyond the superficial credibility gained by getting his crap printed for poor reasons.

Of more note for consideration and to remember, though, is that Solomon was an important part of Trump/the White House's plot to fabricate Ukraine dirt on Biden that was almost exactly an inverse of the truth. Knowingly.

He's scum.
