A way to increase the chances that someone will watch the YouTube that you are linking is to embed it here, instead of just posting the link.

Just use the "yt" tags around 11-character code at the end of your link like this:

[yt]11character[/yt]

Or quote this post to see how I did it here:

Thank you, I appreciate it!

Here is the video for backtracking.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RcJ2yyNkUk

This does not take away from her initial statement yet it is a very informative video.

Neither of these videos indicates a from any backtracking statement, so once again you make a statement not backed up verifiably evidence.

did you miss my post

No, the wording that I read is to list in section 2.

And that would be viruses.

You choose a poor restrictive definition of the cause of death i.e. listing on a death certificate.

This disproves your believing that the W.H.O. does not believe that the virus causes death.

Our entire political system politicized a disease and that is shameful and the blame lies clearly on the Republicans and the Democrats, they have pitted citizen against citizen while the elderly were unnecessarily dying.

Not been paying much attention, eh? The Republicans deserve the overwhelming share of the blame there. Trump and his Administration, with the support of the Republican establishment, screwed us over like crazy and lied like crazy, while constantly and loudly claiming that the Democrats were politicizing it for the crime of saying that COVID is a problem that we should be listening to the experts and taking appropriate action to deal with.

Trump and the Republican propagandists treated COVID as if it were the Democrats trying to repeat their Ebola fearmongering attacks on Obama that pretty much instantly vanished after that election. Democrats treated COVID in line with the evidence at hand. Trump and the Republicans actively acted to destroy the US' ability to respond effectively to any pandemic and horrendously screwed up the crucial initial response to COVID (they did a little better after the stock market started crashing, in that they acknowledged that things actually needed done, even if the way they went about it involved massive wastefulness and chaos) and actively acted to defend themselves throughout by trying to make it a partisan loyalty issue. Democrats called them out on the basis of science and consistently held principles of good governance, not partisanship.

There's really not much of a "both sides are at fault" here, except in the propaganda of the people who want to push their sins onto others for tactical purposes.

Snide and inaccurate remark noted.

I dislike Republicans.

Joe Biden has been using the Covid-19 and the Protests against Trump. Biden may correct in his admonishments but he is using it as often as possible.

Now, tell me I am wrong.

This disproves your believing that the W.H.O. does not believe that the virus causes death.

No it doesn't, you said you read the form but the form clearly states (in the examples they provided) that the third level is Covid and is not on the first level.

Backtracking... I guess when Maria van Kerkhove said "I meant to say..." is not backtracking.

You and the rest do not want a discussion, you rather provide false statements like I am not providing evidence. Go on do your little snarky comments and never acknowledge that you maybe could learn something. Narcissism runs rampant and guess who the Leader is?

Now, tell me I am wrong.
Unless you can tell us something that Joe Biden did that resulted in the unnecessary deaths of any elderly people, then yes. You are wrong. Biden sitting in his basement "politicizing" this virus has virtually zero impact on public health.

There is a vast difference between...

(1) Point out lies and ineptitude that cost lives.

(2) Tell lies, be inept, cost lives. Instead foist asinine conspiracy theories and play red/blue games.

By the way, politicizing important issues is part and parcel of running for office. That's not a meaningful criticism in and of itself. The severity of the problem, combined with the lies and ineptitude, justify Biden playing it like a bongo drum.

Second, Rational Wiki is a biased publication. It is left-wing... it is politically motivated and produces propaganda to influence opinion. All in all I have no issue with what I just wrote, what you failed to do was acknowledge that your reference had a political bias and not just a source of unbiased information with correct footnotes.
Oh dear.

You know that reality has a liberal bias, right? That's because the right is full of reality deniers who reject science in favor of 2,000 year old religious texts and/or to avoid taking responsibility for their actions.

It doesn't matter what the (perceived) motivation is, if the information is accurate and the arguments sound then it is worth considering. I will use material from any publication if it meets that criteria.

Third, you may wish to experience the joy of reading what you post as a reference and not just "google" something and then copy and paste what fits your needs.
It's called a 'cite' and it beats bare assertion every time. We can debate the content, but to dismiss it as 'just googling' is irrational. Would you dismiss something quoted from a book just because I used the library's computer to search for it? This is the 21st century not the nineteenth.

Fourth, it is without question or debate that diseases flourish in an acidic environment. Not one time did I go off and preach a PH diet.To reference an article that deals in extremes is disingenuous.
This assertion is simplistic at best. The human body tightly regulates pH, except for the stomach which is very highly acidic. Which is where food goes. So unless you are drinking battery acid...

Fifth, I maintain that the body can defeat the majority of illnesses if that body is properly nourished, exercised (both body and mind), hydrated, and all done in moderation versus excess.
That is true, the result of millions of years of evolution which produced an immune system able to detect and fight many diseases.

But a new 'novel' virus is a different story. It doesn't matter how fit and healthy you are, if the virus multiplies enough before the immune system detects it then you are in trouble. That is mostly down to genetics and previous exposure to similar pathogens. Young, fit and healthy people have died of new viruses for millennia, yet unhealthy people survive endemic viruses all the time.

This would include restrictions that put an unnatural stress on our systems (ie. face mask).
A face mask is an 'unnatural stress on your system?'. That's ridiculous. In my last job I wore a face mask continuously to keep soil out of my nose, and it was the least stressful part of the job.

we are probably polar opposites.
Perhaps we are, but that is no reason not have a rational discussion.

The difference is that a car is not a right. My ability to be outside without harming anybody is a right.
No right is absolute. Because humans are social animals, there will always be a tension between individual freedom and the common good. If you want to get the benefits of living in a society then you have to accept certain restrictions like the rest of us do. If you can't handle that then you are welcome to find a deserted island where you can do whatever you want - just don't expect anything from us when you are sick, lonely, or unable to do something by yourself.

Seems to me there were Native Americans in California, around 350,000, when the Spanish arrived. By 1849, when the US annexed the state, that population was under 50,000. Most of those deaths were from diseases the indigenous had never been exposed to prior to the Europeans.

And yes, I just stated the obvious.

Snide and inaccurate remark noted.

Thin-skinned?

I dislike Republicans.

And? It doesn't even remotely take being or liking Republicans to get sucked into the narratives and framing that they push. As a general rule, much of Republican propaganda is focused on exploiting natural and induced biases.

Joe Biden has been using the Covid-19 and the Protests against Trump. Biden may correct in his admonishments but he is using it as often as possible.

Now, tell me I am wrong.

Here, a bit of actual snark, then. Biden could *definitely* use it a lot more. Therefore, you're wrong.

Seriously, though. What standards are you using here? Democrats and the media aren't allowed to even whisper any criticism of the Republican wrongs without "politicizing" the issue in a contemptible way, by the sound of it. You are, of course, being extended a special invitation to clarify your position further on that.

Anyways, now that I have a bit more time...

The below link to a YouTube video highlights the misinformation and confusion that I have. For full disclosure, this video was challenged by others within WHO saying she meant something else. This is pause for concern as we have Maria van Kerkove, she is the TECHNICAL Lead for Covid-19 at WHO. Her credentials are impressive as she sports degrees from Cornell, Standford, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her organization (WHO) came out after her comments and backtracked saying that she meant to say something else... view the video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQTBlbx1Xjs

Did she say something that was incorrect or did she say something that she "should not have said"?

She said things that could easily be misunderstood, by the sound of it, especially when taken out of the much larger background context, which she did poke at in that first video and did a fair bit to try to expand upon more at multiple points in the second video that you linked. That's not really either "incorrect" or "should not have said," except in the sense that it probably should have been qualified a bit better for the sake of public consumption, because the general public tends not to be all that familiar with a bunch of the foundational things about science, how it works, and the kind of specificity that she was using. To be perfectly clear again, it was not backtracking in the second video, it was clarification.

A face mask is an 'unnatural stress on your system?'. That's ridiculous.

Quibble. I have no problem with calling a face mask an unnatural stress on your system. It should also be remembered, though, that "natural" does not actually equate to good or bad, as tempting as it can be to fall for the naturalistic fallacy. Nor would it being unnatural say anything about severity. I regularly need to wear a cloth mask during long periods of sustained physical activity, currently. It's annoying. It's also not a serious problem.

Again you discuss a form that you have not presented, nor evidence that W.H.O. considers viruses a "third" level. Clearly viruses are a contributing factor as the second box on the blank form I read.

Now my comment is not snarky, but your admonition is noted, I have not posted a remark of such character toward you and any further such remarks will be reported. Just keep it out of the gutter and start posting some evidence.

ANyone explain/debunk this :Covid 19 tests exported in 2018?
Literlaly ony two google references lead to this page.

https://wits.worldbank.org/trade/co...w/Exports/partner/WLD/nomen/h5/product/300215

First guess? Data entry issue.

When I looked up the HS 6 digit product code for one of the others that was also listed there as COVID-19 test kits, 382200, I found "Composite Diagnostic/lab Reagents, Exc Pharmaceut" and "Composite diagnostic or laboratory reagents, nes" and "Composite diagnostic or laboratory reagents, other than those of heading No. 3002 or 3006" as what it was listed as.

For the one you linked directly to, 300215, I got "Immunological products, put up in measured doses or in forms or packings for retail sale" as an example.
