And tomorrow, 19,000 of them will be crowded together without masks, yelling and cheering.
If you could guarantee is wokuld not spread beyond them, I would call it "evolution in action" and "culling the herd".

It is universal.Yes, unfortunately that's correct. If there's a surge of cases in OK, the level of lying about it will be stupendous.
Never has been. Just a boss; the boss from hell.
I applaud them for selflessly taking part in this risky experiment, knowing that some will get sick or even die. This is the mark of a true patriot - someone willing to die so we can get more data on how well the virus spreads in crowds! And tomorrow, 19,000 of them will be crowded together without masks, yelling and cheering.

(NY Times)Trump’s supporters said that they were unconcerned about the perils of coronavirus or of protesters.
“I’m not going to let those people run me off,” Terri Whisenhunt, 49, of Wagoner, Okla., vowed. “And covid-19 is not going to keep me locked in my house. I think it’s all a bunch of B.S.”
Not really for this thread I suppose but is there evidence that an antibody treatment works?
(NY Times)
Nah, she's not stupid. Not at all. Just another 'stable genius'.
And Trump is willing to let them take that chance.
Good evidence. But it's not something being manufactured yet. That limits the supply tremendously.
I wonder if Trump has talked any researchers into slipping him a vaccination before it's ready? I can see him doing that, offering favorable government contracts or something if they can slip him a dose in secret.
Does that include knowing he's secretly had a vaccine while drawing thousands of susceptible fans into an indoor stadium?....
If there's a viable vaccine I have no problem with The President being one of the first recipients.
I can also see him insisting on getting a treatment before it's ready. In that case, I do have a problem with it as the risks have not been weighed. But if he wants to be that stupid, maybe I think he should go ahead.

Worldometer cites 33,529 new reported cases for Friday in the USA, the most since May 1st (which was a bit of an outlier).
Texas (4,497 - a new record)) and Florida (3,822 - a new record) are doing their best to help these figures. And with Tulsa about to host 20,000 (reportedly up to 100,000 showing up) people in a petri dish arena yelling and screaming these numbers can only go in one direction.
Sorry guys, you really don't deserve this.
As an aside, Brazil reported 55,209 cases (a new record) and worldwide there was a total of 181,005 (a new record). Nearly half were from the USA and Brazil.
This thing aint going anywhere.

Didn’t they break up in 2004?SOmeone still in Darwin's Waiting Room.
I wouldn't say the whole religious right hates science. The evangelical wing, sure, but Catholics like to think they're more or less in tune with modern science. Theoretically they are also pro-immigrant though that's counteracted by anti-abortion sentiment. You also have a general hatred of science among much of the right.
I think this goes back to science not agreeing with the book of Fairy Tales most of them beleive in.
Yeah ... but. Those 20K-plus in Tulsa aren't just risking their own health. If they were I'd just say **** 'em.I might not agree with that. If you knowing voted GOP idiots into public office, you are just reaping what you sow.
