Sleep Joe Biden’s people are so Radical Left that they are working to get the Anarchists out of jail, and probably more. Joe doesn’t know anything about it, he is clueless, but they will be the real power, not Joe. They will be calling the shots! Big tax increases for all, Plus!

“These were the people that trashed Seattle years ago. Who’s paying for these people. I was appalled that 13 of Joe Biden’s staff were donating money to bail people out in Minneapolis. They should have stayed in jail until this is over (and beyond).” @newtgingrich @foxandfriends

“I don’t see any indication that there were any white supremest groups mixing in. This is an ANTIFA Organization. It seems that the first time we saw it in a major way was Occupy Wall Street. It’s the same mindset.” @kilmeade @foxandfriends
TRUE!

One thing that rioting changed in Rochester NY was the discriminatory hiring practices at one of the area's biggest employers, Eastman Kodak. Below are two excerpts from the University of Rochester.
Rochester activists pioneered some important strategies. Rochester’s civil rights group FIGHT, for example—which was formed in response to the riots—experimented effectively with a proxy strategy. By asking individuals and churches for voting rights to their Kodak shares, the group was able to attend shareholders’ meetings and challenge the corporation’s hiring practices. The confrontation, covered in the Wall Street Journal and other national media, eventually pushed Kodak to hire 600 minority workers and implement further job training programs. “What happened in Rochester has the potential to rewrite what scholars know about civil rights,” Warren Hill [a doctoral student at Binghamton University who conducted the interviews] says. Link

By any measure, the race riots of 1964 were a turning point in Rochester’s history. Three nights of rioting left four people dead, 350 injured, and more than 800 arrested. But those disturbing July days also broke through the community’s complacency toward racial discrimination that had fomented such civil unrest. In the aftermath, Rochester became the birthplace of several civil rights strategies that would later serve as models across the nation. Link

There was a similar reaction in New York City following racial unrest in the 1960s. In the aftermath, some of the city's biggest employers began outreach programs aimed at hiring qualified applicants who may have been discriminated against whether by design or default. I personally remember what was then called New York Telephone Company starting outreach programs.

In fact I used to hear people joke about it, good naturedly, when they had a problem with a phone. They'd say, "I complained but got nowhere. Must have been one of the new employees."

“Trump” is leading in all swing states. Heavily biased Democrat Poll, just like 2016. Biggest “enthusiasm” lead ever!

Biden support soft? In new WP poll, Biden has big lead--10 points--over Trump with registered voters nationally. But also signs of softness in Biden support. 87% of Trump supporters say they'll definitely vote Trump. For Biden, number is 74%. http://ow.ly/km4o50zVt6b

Get tough Democrat Mayors and Governors. These people are ANARCHISTS. Call in our National Guard NOW. The World is watching and laughing at you and Sleepy Joe. Is this what America wants? NO!!!

How completely sociopathic does someone have to be to imagine that other countries are looking at riots sparked by a police killing and are laughing?

And for a moment let’s leave aside how bat-**** crazy is his imagining that other countries would laugh at the political opponent of a world leader whose country is having racialy-sparked riots.

Let’s just look at the idea that other countries would look at the US and laugh at the riots.

And we are constantly admonished: Don't say he has a mental disorder!

Does the guy have to go full-on Hannibal Lecter and literally eat a murder victim before we can call for a mental health exam?

No Trump could just go "LOL that's not what I mean to do" and In Mens Rea / Mistake of Fact / "But whaddabodda da intent?"

By his own figures, 13% of his supporters wont even vote for him. No wonder he's been bankrupt SIX TIMES if he can't understand simple figures!
There's 5 months til the election so that number will only increase.

Yep Dems jump on "There's no way we can lose! Just lookit the polls! This will be easy! Biden might as well start moving in now!" narrative as soon as possible. Worked so well last time.

[godwin]You know who else hid in a bunker?[/godwin]

"You wrote a little book, got 'em fired up,
Had a Beer Hall Putsch, got 'em fired up,
But when your bunker started getting fired up,
You put a gun in your mouth and fired up!"

Hitler Vs Vader's Rap Battle on ERB.

Joe is on the ground, talking to the protesters, trying to understand them and get them to understand him. While Trump is in the White House turning off the lights and hiding in a bunker, glorifying violence through tweets.
Which one is more presidential?
What was with turning the lights out anyway? did he think it was like 'trick or treat' and they would go away if they thought no one was home?

That was weird. What we he expecting a blitz from the Luftwaffe? An attack from the Jurassic Park T-Rex? That the protestors would just forget where the White House was?

Law & Order in Philadelphia, NOW! They are looting stores. Call in our great National Guard like they FINALLY did (thank you President Trump) last night in Minneapolis. Is this what voters want with Sleepy Joe? All Dems!
I thought Trump and his backup band didn't care what the world thinks about things.

Sadly that one, and the riots in Los Angeles after the police officers were acquitted in the beating of Rodney King probably did not cause long lasting change.

They are still far from perfect but there were significant changes and improvements to the LAPD resulting from Rodney King and the ensuing riots.

https://www.cnn.com/2017/04/28/us/lapd-change-since-la-riots/index.html

The Arab Spring caused some changes, but I can't say if they were permanent or for the better.

Not all changes will end up being for the better, but in a democracy the chances are high that the change will be an improvement if the underlying cause is just. The key question is whether the US is still a real democracy. If it isn't the protests could just end up being an excuse for an authoritarian crackdown.

A Norwegian journalist has compiled a list of journalists/reporters targetted by police during the demonstrations.

His introduction: "after 40 months of a president who constantly labels a critical and independent press as "fake news", and journalists as "enemies of the people", reporters are now legitimate targets for American police officers."

Posting a paraphrased list here as the original is in Norwegian, hope that's okay. Otherwise I suppose people can use Google translate.

(Note: when I say "showed credentials" I mean they proved/demonstrated to the police they were journalists. Wasn't sure how to translate that to English.)

  • Freelancer Linda Tirado. Shot in the left eye. Doctors say she will never be able to see with her left eye again. She says she was lucky, she films with her right eye.
  • CNN reporter Omar Jimenez and his cameraman and producer arrested during live broadcast. Identified himself as a journalist. Asked police if they wanted his team to move.
  • MSNBC's Ali Velshi shot with rubber bullets.
  • Journalist Christopher Mathias beaten up, arrested, and detained for 8 hours by police.
  • Phoebe Leila Barghouty arrested despite showing her credentials.
  • Molly Hennessy-Fiske shot at with tear gas, despite showing her credentials.
  • CBS reporter John Marshitz fired upon with rubber bullets.
  • CNN commentator Keith Boykin arrested in NY despite showing his credentials.
  • Lexis-Oliver Ray struck down by police in Los Angeles after showing press credentials.
  • TV journalist Sara Sidery tear gassed without warning as she was about to go live covering demonstrations in Louisville.
  • CBS reporter Laura McQuillan shot with rubber bullets during a report from Minneapolis. She was standing in an empty parking lot with her camera team.
  • Freelancer Jonathan Ballew tear gassed while showing his press card in Chicago.
  • VICE correspondent Michael Anthony Adams yelled "press" and showed his press card to identify himself. He was restrained by police officers and pepper sprayed. (At least they didn't sit on his neck until he choked to death -- S-K)
  • TV journalist Jeremy Jojola fired upon by police directly after live broadcast.
  • Photo journalist in Minneapolis fired upon by police.
  • TV journalist in Denver fired upon with rubber bullets.
  • Journalist in Detroit pepper sprayed while holding up his press card.
  • Photographer had his camera struck out of his hands.
  • Reporter in Philadelphia beaten with batons for filming an arrest.

Yesterday Trump tweeted again:
«The Lamestream Media is doing everything within their power to foment hatred and anarchy. As long as everybody understands what they are doing, that they are FAKE NEWS and truly bad people with a sick agenda, we can easily work through them to GREATNESS!»

155 days remain until the election.
