I agree. All it needed was another spark. People were already stressed out and angry over Covid related loss of jobs, being in lock down, etc. But where is Trump? Tweeting about looters and shooters, going to see Spacex launch, and attacking political "enemies". This is not how Obama would have handled this. Or Hillary.

Apart from affray, storming the state property, threatening violence towards elected members, and breaking the extant COVID distancing regulations.

This president has exposed problems the framers had not anticipated when they created the office. We need a way to retain superior talent rather than let it slip away. The wisdom of the ages is pretty clear: A leader carries on for life, and then power passes to his progeny.
 
Trump delays 'outdated' G7 leaders' summit

US President Donald Trump has said he will postpone this year's G7 summit and invite leaders of other countries to participate in the talks.

"I don't feel that... it properly represents what's going on in the world. It's a very outdated group of countries," Mr Trump said on Saturday.

The president said Russia, South Korea, Australia and India should be invited.

Speaking to reporters on board the presidential plane Air Force One, Mr Trump said that he was delaying the summit - which was scheduled to take place later in June - until September.

Anyone else here think that the only reason he wants south Korea, India or Australia there is to justify allowing Russia back in? (Well maybe he wants India in because he and India's leader share certain racist elements)

Also.... The world already has the G20 with an expanded membership... If you add too many members to the G7 then why bother with it at all? Just give an expanded role to the G20 and drop the G7 all together.
