Congress must go back to DEDUCTIBILITY by businesses if Restaurants, Clubs & Entertaiment is expected to flourish (like never before)!

Democrats are blocking a 251 Billion Dollar funding boost for Small Businesses which will help them keep their employees. It should be for only that reason, with no additions. We should have a big Infrastructure Phase Four with Payroll Tax Cuts & more. Big Economic Bounceback!

Oh FFS. Yeah, sure, more trickle down. It's not like that economic theory hasn't been completely disproven. Also, when the **** did businesses become infrastructure?

This week, in only 4 days, we had the biggest Stock Market increase since 1974. We have a great chance for the really big bounce when the Invisible Enemy is gone!

Strangely silent while it drops like a stone but ready to take credit for a dead cat bounce

Nobody wants to say that if Elizabeth Warren gets out of the race before Super Tuesday, Crazy Bernie Sanders wins virtually every state in a blowout...NOT EVEN CLOSE! I haven’t heard one member of the Fake News Establishment even mention this irrefutable fact. FAKE NEWS!

Wow, Approval Rating in the Republican Party - 96%. Thank you!

HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY TO ALL!

Because the T.V. Ratings for the White House News Conference’s are the highest, the Opposition Party (Lamestream Media), the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats &, of course, the few remaining RINO’S, are doing everything in their power to disparage & end them. The People’s Voice!

The Invisible Enemy will soon be in full retreat!

Ratings again! Will it never stop? The infantile suck's never-ending quest for attention and admiration is beyond pathetic.

And what's this "People's Voice" malarkey? Does he really think *he's* the people? 'Cause it's the 'all about me' show.

Sounds like something Nicolas Maduro would 'tweet!' It's especially sad, at a time like this, the president chooses to describe the opposition in such crude childish terms: Lamestream Media, the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats & the few remaining RINO’S.

I looked to see what these fabulous ratings are Trump is talking about. All I could find was a piece published in the New York Times over two weeks ago.
On Monday [March 23rd], nearly 12.2 million people watched Mr. Trump’s briefing on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC, according to Nielsen — “Monday Night Football” numbers. Millions more are watching on ABC, CBS, NBC and online streaming sites. (Because of the way Nielsen ratings are measured, reliable numbers are available only for cable news.) Link

Are the ratings numbers still as high? I have noticed Trump refers to the ratings but he doesn't seem to cite any figures. At this point in time, the public does want information about the virus. But Trump seems to assume the ratings are high because of him, Donald Trump. That's pretty lousy. He also doesn't refer to this passage in the article reporting the big numbers:
And the audience is expanding even as Mr. Trump has repeatedly delivered information that doctors and public health officials have called ill informed, misleading or downright wrong.

This is the part Trump never addresses. Guess that kind of discussion won't trend well on social media. :(

Our President is, to some extent, a reflection of our society, and what Trump says about us is not pretty.

I hope that people not only throw out Trump, but throw out this petty meanness that is so prevalent in our society. I would like to see America rise up and be better.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say there's probably a very good reason for that. Oh, wait....I'm right.
Democrats pressed to add money for hospitals and state and local governments to an emergency infusion of $250 billion requested by the Trump administration to help distressed small businesses.
In a joint statement on Wednesday, the Democratic leaders said they supported the administration’s request for an additional $250 billion for the loan program. But they said $125 billion of that should be directed to underserved businesses that might otherwise have trouble securing loans, including those that are owned by women, people of color and veterans, or situated in rural areas.

Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Schumer also said they would push to add $100 billion for hospitals, community health centers and health systems — in part to shore up testing and the distribution of critical safety gear for health workers — as well as $150 billion for state and local governments and a 15 percent increase in food assistance benefits.

On Trump's ratings, should someone ask him: There are credible reports that the Queen got higher ratings for her address than you are getting for your briefings? How do you plan on attacking her for this?

(I'm making an assumption here that she did. Maybe I'm wrong. And it doesn't really matter if I'm wrong, I'd still ask the question just to see his response. The follow-up would never get asked because he would cut off the reporter.)

I don't really buy this. Every president is to some extent a reflection of American society. What Trump says about us is not pretty? Trump was out-polled by Clinton by almost three million votes. What does that say about us? Wouldn't Hillary Clinton be even more of a reflection of American society?

I think Trump is more a reflection of the times we live in. As many commentators have noted, right-wing populism is surging all around the world, not just in the U.S.

I guess I would agree: Trump is a reflection of Americans as seen through a Fun House mirror! ;)

Trump just repeated this a couple minutes ago in his presser. He claimed "we had the biggest stock market increase...we've had in 50 years. Think of that. More than 50 years actually."

Trump must be using 'alternative' math. In normal math, 1974 was 46 years ago.

ETA: He just again repeated the 50 year number. Someone should hand him a calculator.
"...like we've never seen before" has become one of his 'go to' phrases.

The fact that nearly half the voters in America chose Trump says something about our society, and it isn't pretty.

Our society isn't uniform by any means, but the fact that so many people were willing to vote for Donald Trump means there is something thoroughly rotten within American society.

(That doesn't mean I think everyone who voted for Trump is a bad person, but the fact that he could win the nomination says something pretty bad about us as a people.)

I agree with you. That someone as thoroughly disgusting as Trump can win not only the nomination, but the presidency itself, says something pretty bad about a large portion of the American people.

With the replacement of IG's with loyalists, I fear Trump is going to make a power play to outright steal elections along with much of the Covid funds.

Not only that but you also have a significant number of people who didn't vote for Trump or Clinton.

A critical election where one of the options is a racist con-artist/failed business man, and millions of voters decided he wasn't a bad enough problem to stop, so they voted 3rd party, spoiled their ballot, or didn't vote at all. (They may not have voted FOR Trump, but they didn't do much to oppose him either.)

I would have been distressed enough had Trump gotten five or ten percent of the votes. 40+ is a disaster. That he retains his popularity is even scarier.
