What a steaming load of false equivalency. In the other thread, you had the rank audacity to accuse posters of delusionality for pointing out that Trump has been consistently minimizing the threat, facts be damned. That undeniable reality is summarized here.

If I'm generous, I'll assume that he's talking about the industry being impacted by reduced demand because of businesses being closed and people staying home.
Otherwise, someone should tell him that the Department of Homeland Security considers petroleum workers to be Essential Critical Infrastructure and exempt from the shutdowns. The executive order from the Governor of California specifically said that it doesn't apply to critical infrastructure.

"Everyone is to blame reee" is typical stance of apologist when it is impossible to deny that apologist's favourite guy screwed up in any capacity. Standard "dilution of responsibility" tactic. Nice try, though.
 
I think we might need to follow Italy's model and deny ventilators to those over 60. This will allow us to be properly skeptical, and not waste any valuable plant operations manufacturing them. Instead, then we can get up and running again, getting back to manufacturing My Pillows, wood chippers, and of course, the 2020 Corvette Stingray.

Looks like a third rate Grandstander named @RepThomasMassie, a Congressman from, unfortunately, a truly GREAT State, Kentucky, wants to vote against the new Save Our Workers Bill in Congress. He just wants the publicity. He can’t stop it, only delay, which is both dangerous......

...& costly. Workers & small businesses need money now in order to survive. Virus wasn’t their fault. It is “HELL” dealing with the Dems, had to give up some stupid things in order to get the “big picture” done. 90% GREAT! WIN BACK HOUSE, but throw Massie out of Republican Party!

As usual with “this” General Motors, things just never seem to work out. They said they were going to give us 40,000 much needed Ventilators, “very quickly”. Now they are saying it will only be 6000, in late April, and they want top dollar. Always a mess with Mary B. Invoke “P”.

The Senate bill makes sure a Kentucky manufacturer (L'Oreal) gets aid for "innovative" sunscreen. Thanks to McConnell.
 
Yesterday he said there were enough ventilators. Today he demands more but refuses to use his authority to order their production.
What a failure.

Fortunately, we have a president who is experienced in business, with an excellent understanding (the best) of how to run factories, retool them, and build complex mechanical devices.

That's news to me - is McConnell not doing his job of making sure there is no check on whether candidates are qualified for their job?
