"I hate white people"

A bit racist.

"a bit"?Nope, it's really standard white supremacist thinking. "Look out, those scary blacks and spics are out to beat you and rape your women. And steal your jobs. Also, they refuse to work and want to live on welfare."

Not that this is a shock, given the source.

The way in which the story in this thread is different from "living while black" threads:

The living while black stories are meant to illustrate issues that are common in the lives of black people. They are examples of the racism seen every day in the lives of millions of people, though perhaps the particular stories are extreme examples. They demonstrate racist attitudes that are common and make life more difficult. At least I think that's the point of bringing up those stories.

If this thread is meant to be an example of a similar trend then okay. But I haven't seen the OP make that claim. In which case it appears to simply be an example of a single nut job. Perhaps this individual is racist and motivated by racism. But are we meant to be discussing an all too common racism of black people hating white people and at times becoming violent because of that hatred? Perhaps this violence is an extreme edge of a spectrum of hate that in more mild forms nevertheless expresses itself as predjudice, making day to day life, from shopping to buying a home to finding a job more difficult?

My view is that racism in all it's forms is bad. But it's not that often that white people's lives are negatively affected by racism of this sort. It may happen that sometimes a white person is passed over for a job because of his race. But it's not such a widespread problem that I'm particularly worried about it at the moment. Whereas that does seem to be an important issue for black people.

Unlike some others I have no problem with a thread about this event. Its certainly bothersome when someone attacks someone else because of racism. But I don't think there's the equivalency between this story and the many "living while black" stories that the OP seems to be attempting to form.

Some people find the concept hard to grasp but living with racism all your life can make you angry. I know victims of racism are supposed to show superior grace and wisdom but that doesn't always happen.

Attacking random people because they have the same skin color as other people who treated you poorly is an understandable response?

Another gaffe by a non-American talking about race relations. What you're saying didn't come from life experience, you were told to think this, you didn't think it through, and I'm sure you truly believe this stuff.

Reality is, blacks commit less crime when they are in close proximity to whites. The more whites in the proximity of black people, the less blacks report feelings of misanthropy.

I'm not sure why all these non-Americans think they have solutions to racial conflict when they live in a fantasy world.

Her criminal record is rather unsettling. She has a long history of these types of charges. It looks like she keeps getting arrested, is found unfit to stand trial, transported to the hospital, found incapable of mental recovery, charges dismissed, and released. Repeat again in a year or so.

It looks like two new charges were filed 2/22. It is probably time for the court to purse a civil commitment.

The courts are waiting for her to murder some poor soul, so they can finally show her what a real slap on the wrist feels like.

Not mine. A mother walking with her daughter in Bradford is perfectly justified in changing course when she sees a group of Pakistani Muslims happening upon her path.

I don't find that concept hard to grasp in the least. I don't expect people who have been bludgeoned in every conceivable way by seething, violent and humiliating racism (and then blamed for provoking it) to show superior grace and wisdom. However, I do believe people getting violently attacked for their ethnicity is still noteworthy, even when the victim happens to be a white bitch.

Perhaps those who think the white bitch somehow provoked the attack, or that such brutality should be casually dismissed in polite company could volunteer as outlets for the racism fueled rage of the mentally ill. Win-win.

Crime rates are correlated with low socioeconomic status, not skin colour. People in poor neighbourhoods commit more crimes regardless of their skin colour. It just so happens that because of a history of institutional racism, there are a lot of African Americans in poor neighbourhoods.

Not that rich people don't commit crimes, but the types of crime they commit tend to be different.

No it's not. God damn talking to you people is like talking to a wall. I just schooled three of you people repeating this same trash a few days ago, now here you are repeating the same crap, it goes and and on and on and over and over and over again.

When violent crimes against those least able to defend themselves become a machismo badge of honor, it tends to amplify the effect.
