The Republican party in this case did the right thing. But, the republican president has a long track record of making similar types of anti-semitic remarks (such as suggesting they need to vote republican because they are focused on wealth), but he doesn't seem to get the same condemnation. Seems almost like she's a sacrificial lamb. "You can be a bigot... just don't call attention to it".

Not equivalent. The Chinese government can demand that Huawei tailor their designs to serve whatever purpose the Chinese government wants. They cannot demand that Apple tailor their designs to serve the Chinese government. Apple has the power to refuse. Huawei does not.
