This is at least the 2nd time he as said the Fed would help if 'asked politely.'

If he has help to offer he is evil for withholding it, asked or not.

Of course, his low morals are not news.

This is his standard (and only) negotiating technique - be as belligerent as possible, and people will be kind and give you a low offer.

In practice, it never seems to work on equals - people in business generally told him to **** off because they could find someone else. Cities tend to simply accept a certain amount of homelessness by harassing and arresting the homeless instead of, you know, putting them in the ample housing that sits empty, so they'll likely ignore him.

In international relations, "**** off" usually has far more serious consequences, as we've seen. ANd no, he's not negotiating with Iran, he's throwing a tantrum.

I don't know if "People would be blase about an attack on the President" is really where we are at, Trump or no Trump.

As Simon Gruber told John McCane "There's a difference between not liking your brother and not caring when some Irish flatfoot throws him off a skyscraper."

Is there? And do you have contact information for this Irish flatfoot, asking for a friend?

How terrible was the Obama-Biden Iran policy?
In 2016, their Secretary of State John Kerry admitted that some Iranian sanctions relief money would fund terrorism.

Josh, Moscow Mitch has 300-plus reasons why that won’t fly.

Hell, it's even worse than that. He actually said he'd "very seriously consider getting involved", not that he'd actually do anything. Beg and plead for Lord Donald's help, and maybe he'll consider it.

I smell a bait-and-switch. I hope the Dems just ignore this line of tweets.

Smell? It's right there in the text!

The homeless situation in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and many other Democrat Party run cities throughout the Nation is a state and local problem, not a federal problem....

....If however, the city or state in question is willing to acknowledge responsibility, and politely asks for help from the Federal Government, we will very seriously consider getting involved in order to make those poorly run Democrat Cities Great Again!

Someone mentioned here or in another thread that people who've lost their homes in other states were moving to California, since if you have to be homeless, it's better to not have to worry about freezing to death at night.
I wonder if there's any data on the number of homeless in "Democrat Party run cities" who are originally from Republican run states.

Anyway, some of them, I assume, are good people?

...You (as in you Americans) elected Trump to the position he holds in your country. You decided to let him make these types of decisions.

Not to sound like a broken record, but Trump was elected by a minority of American voters. His opponent received almost three million more votes then Trump did (48%-46%). He won the presidency only because of an electoral system the U.S. has that favors states over individuals. Trump did win a majority of states, despite losing the overall popular vote. Even then his winning margin was less than 200,000 votes out of over 130 million votes cast, a margin of, if my math is correct (it usually isn't), less than 0.15%.

It's your freely chosen system. As much as he may want it he isn't a dictator that seized power by military force and so on.

He was elected under the rules we've had in place from the beginning. We all play by the same rules, which were put in place intentionally to prevent what you think would be fair (election by "popular vote") from happening, because it wouldn't be fair to the smaller states and they would not have joined the union. That's why the electoral college was one of a gazillion compromises made to form the union.

Actually he wasn't.

See, the U.S. has rules about things like foreign influence and campaign finance. Trump violated those rules when the republicans received support from Russia, and Trump made illegal campaign contributions.

The fact that he "got away with it" doesn't necessarily mean he won "under the rules".

Actually an election by popular vote would be fair to the smaller states. (Since when did "Waaaa!! We're not given extra advantages" become the equivalent of being treated unfairly?

I suggest you take this to the other thread dedicated to the American election system.

ETA: It should be noted that even if Trump managed to get a victory via the Electoral college, it makes it harder to claim that he speaks for the majority of Americans. At best he speaks for the minority of americans who managed to help him eek out a victory. From a moral point of view, its hard to say "This guy is our representative".

Had a very good meeting with @kbsalsaud of Saudi Arabia. We discussed Trade, Military, Oil Prices, Security, and Stability in the Middle East!

Great interview with @GOPLeader Kevin McCarthy on @foxandfriends. “There was no urgency with the Articles of Impeachment because there was no case.”
