The Trump Presidency: Part 17

How long until we see a tweet that says "Your favorite President (Me) kills the greatest Terrorist ever, and nobody talks About it. You look at Fake news CNN don't talk about it, Do-Nothing Democrats don't talk about it. they hate the United States. Enemy of the People!"

Sounds like a hodge-podge of stuff he's actually already said, so there'd be no news there. :)

In the article I linked, he already claimed to have been personally hunting him.

"I've been looking for him for three years. I've been looking for him."

Operating on a tip that all sorts of evil bastards can be found on Trump-owned golf courses?

Can you make it clear when you are posting a tweet from Grumpy Trumpy. Thanks.

;)

I think this victory will be very short lived, as more news of Trump crimes come out and/or Trump does more dumb things.
It doesn’t cancel everything else out IMO. It certainly will help over the next 24-48 hours though.
I would be surprised if it even lasts that long.

After all, Bin Laden was (for the most part) a household name. People would recognize him if you saw him on the street. al-Baghdadi? Many people probably don't know his name or his relationship to ISIS, so killing him will probably result in a collective "who was killed?"

Meanwhile, California is on fire again. Obviously Nancy's fault for not raking the forests!

What's the difference between California and the Titanic?
The lights were on when the Titanic sank.

What did Californians use for lighting before candles?
Electricity.

What does the "e" in California stand for?
Electricity.

That'e effectively the way it was reported on BBC radio this morning, though it was the headlines news bulletin on BBC Radio 6 which is a music channel so comprehensive reporting wasn't necessarily a priority....
I can't imagine the Brits, radio or not, being so stupid as to think this made Trump great again.

Especially given how Trump is handling things. Incredibly ignorant comments about the whining, that only made Trump look stupid. Doing his usual, I'm so great schtick. And then there is the nonsense getting this guy was bigger than getting Osama and it took Trump to get the guy after two presidents failed.

Nobody at that ball game saw this latest achievement as making Trump's crap all better now. Why would the Brits think that?

I've heard this countless times, but there's never any support for this assertion.

Just as there is no support for Trump's claim about al-Baghdadi 'lying, whimpering and crying'. Not even the Pentagon is confirming that. When Gen. Mark Milley was directly asked if there is video of al-Baghdadi doing so, he refused to confirm it with a lame excuse.

Asked at a press briefing if the US military has video or photos of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's final moments, Army Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said, "We do have videos, photos."

"We're not prepared to release those...they're going through a declassification process," Milley said.

He added that the photos and videos would be released by the military in the coming days.

On the other hand, Trump said he's 'thinking about it".

He also said he doesn't know what the source of Trump's claim is.

Come on, Zig. If Milley could confirm Trump's claim, he'd have done so and been able to do so if he'd seen any such video. Or do you think the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff hasn't seen such important video?

Just to be clear, Milley did not confirm they had video or pics of al-Baghdadi's behavior in the tunnel. He said they have video and pictures of the operation. If there is any video confirming Trump's claim, it would be released. If not, you can pretty well bet there is no such video and Trump was LYING and continues to LIE.

Trump's inferiority complex in regards to Obama is palpable. The more he tries to tear Obama down, the more he just confirms what he is: a lying, classless, ignorant, fool without an ounce of dignity.

The smart thing for Trump to do is just stop comparing himself to and tearing down Obama. But then, the operative word there is "smart".

One would think a man would want to take his youngest son to great seats at a World Series home baseball game.

The operative word should be "sane".

With all the important stuff Trump has to do can you really expect him to remember he has a son? Seems that even Melania has trouble with that.

Or maybe the boy actually has some brains and refuses to be seen in public with Trump.

You know what I think of Trump, but calling the attack illegal because he did not inform the Democratic leaders is a bit much, although he, of course should have done so.\
Frankly, denigrating the mission because Trump authorized it is a bad strategy which will backfire.
But it was illegal, in the sense that there are quite specific US laws they are required to follow in such circumstances but didn't.

That does NOT mean the slippery slope inverse argument that I like al-Baghdadi and wish he was alive again. The scum is dead. That result is fine by me. I just wish Trump had played inside the lines, then I would have acknowledged he did something right (for a change).

But this is a typical Trump maneuver. He will ignore the law if it is convenient for him to do so and no-one pulls him up on it and people cheer the results. The problem is: Just how far does the USA let him go before they realise how lawless he actually is? Where is the line?
