Like her e-mails and how not only did he ask Russia for them on TV, he tried to get his underlings get them from Russia? This, quite honestly, is nearly the exact same thing, done in much the same ways.
 
I have a new idea about the withdrawal of the Doral site. The estimate for building all those facilities Trump bragged about already having was in the billions and there were no more funds left for Trump to loot that much out of without some really bad publicity.

Nope. :) In reality, some flunky gets the job of organising the connection. I would imagine it is not over the public phone systems.

The point was that some of the recording will be superfluous noise and interchanges that have no bearing on the content of the call. I imagine it will be a long set of exchanges like:

Have we got the connection OK at your end?

Yes. Who is present there?

Blah, blah and blah. Is the Ukraine President ready to speak?

Yes. He is standing by now.

President Trump will be on the line in about one minute.

Do we have all recording set?

Yes.

Yes.

Five by five.

Roger that.

Agendas in place?

Got them.

OK, stand by for President Trump.

I can find plausible arguments on both sides of this question so I'm undecided whether his calls overseas are recorded. I think the analogy with Nixon is very weak because he had a secret taping set up in the Oval Office that very few even knew about while this call was made IIRC from the Situation Room with gobs of people listening in. That's hardly maintaining secrecy.

Alternately, the criticism on Fox News could have been enough. Or the multiple bills that were presented to Congress to specifically disallow the use of Doral because how overtly corrupt that was.

That's why I wanted him to hold it there! I liked how flagrant it was. He could play Big Man on Campus, since he owns the place. He could bug
all the suites and maybe even invite Putin.

Or if you don't give a rat's ass about the truth. Trump had already floated the suggestion of holdding the next G-7 at Doral, in all seriousness, at the previous get-together. All the bunch of droogies sitting around discussing other venues is a bald-faced lie. Rather than Trump suggesting it out of left field the conversation was probably more like, "Boss? You wanna go ahead with holding the next G7 at Bed Bug Acres? What can we do to help?"

Something must have kicked off recently. I had 25 E-mails last week, "Protect Trump", "5X matching donations", "Last chance for 5X matching donations", "Really, really, last last chance for 5X matching donations". Multiple copies from various GOP groups or supporters like "NRCC", "NRSC", "House Republicans", "Kevin McCarthy", Ect...

3 duplicates just this morning (from NRCC) that are just a riot. A "Shipping Alert" "RE: Your End the Witch Hut mug". "There are only a handful of limited-edition mugs in stock, and as a top defender, we want you to get one. But, you must order by midnight to guarantee there are mugs left in stock!"
