Such a disgrace that the Do Nothing Democrats are doing just as their name suggests, Doing Nothing! USMCA anyone?

#StopTheCoup

There has never been a greater fraud on Congress. Shifty Schiff is Corrupt. Go Andy!

Rep Andy Biggs
@RepAndyBiggsAZ
173 Members of Congress now cosponsor my motion to condemn and censure Adam Schiff.
A vote on my motion is expected for Monday night.
We must hold Mr. Schiff accountable for misleading the American people.

Someone can't do the math. 40% is the opposite of the number they need. This is like vote after vote to repeal the ACA when they knew they couldn't override a veto. I guess it makes them feel better or something.

It's probably safe to assume that they're relying on their supporters not knowing how many members of Congress there are. 143 sounds like a big number on its own.

It's not even 40%. Hell, its not even 35%. It's a whopping 32.8%.

It's probably safe to assume that some of his supporters don't know what Congress is.

The latest is the Trump administration's effort to claim Ukraine didn't even know there was an aid package that Trump was supposedly "withholding." That's what U.S. special representative to Ukraine Kurt Volker told Adam Schiff in a closed-door session.
According to Washington Examiner...[Volker] indicated that Ukraine wasn’t even aware of the large funding package at the time [the July 25th phone call from Trump] — a revelation that Schiff was reportedly unhappy about. Link

Expect to hear this repeated by Trump supporters. They didn't even know! But one problem with it is, the Pentagon announced part of the grant publicly in a press release on June 18th. Even the Chinese knew about it. China's state news agency, Xinhua, reported it in a story datelined June 18th.
WASHINGTON, June 18 (Xinhua) -- The United States will provide 250 million U.S. dollars to Ukraine in an effort to increase the defense capability of the Eastern European country, the U.S. Department of Defense announced Tuesday. "The Department of Defense announced today plans to provide $250 million to Ukraine in security cooperation funds for additional training, equipment, and advisory efforts to build the capacity of Ukraine's armed forces," Pentagon said in a statement. Link to Xinhua story

With this Trump crew in Washington, it gets so deep you need a backhoe to dig yourself out. :(

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Of course the Ukraine knew. I bet they were closely following the bill as it worked its way through the US Congress. They would be derelict in their jobs if they weren't.

I guess if you spend too much time with the Trump administration, you forget the rest of the world's governments aren't as dysfunctional and incompetent as the current US president?

Trump literally thinks he is above and beyond the laws and common traditions. You've heard him say "Article II" allows him to do whatever he wants. And he knows the Repub Senate won't remove him.

Unless they can have a secret ballot. A MSNBC commentator today claimed that it would only take five Republican senators to join the Democrats in insisting on a secret vote. If that happens, Trump is gone.

Voted out on a secret ballot in the Senate?

That will certainly result in his being frog-marched out of the White House. He’ll insist a secret ballot vote was illegal and he’ll argue that there was untraceable voting fraud.

And it has been said before, C-Span could raise tens of millions of dollars if that exit were made into a pay-per-view event.

ETA
maybe even more of the whole family were wearing handcuffs.

No, the Trump administration just assumes the public is clueless and all they have to do is to say something that sounds plausible and their supporters will take it at face value. Considering Trump has been doing this for four years, you can see why they think they can get away with it.

The Trump phenomenon, to a critical degree, is based on people being unable to cope with an overload of information. (well, that's my opinion).
When you get told something ten different ways, making up your own mid with regards to credibility is hard work - so why not just accept what you are being told with the highest level of emotions and confidence, and the least amount of self-criticism?
If they are so sure they are right, they can't be wrong ... right?

And no one claims to be more right more often than Trump himself.

I would pay a thousand dollars to see him dragged out in handcuffs and leg chains.
