The Trump Presidency: Part 17

Pelosi looks small and weak. Trump could easily take her out with his giant hands.

Democrats are leaking exchanges at the meet, but failing to understand that Trump got the better of them.

At one point Schumer said, "Is your plan to rely on the Syrians and the Turks?"

Trump: "Our plan is to keep the American people safe"

Pelosi: "That's not a plan. That's a goal."

POTUS cut Schumer off and said that Gen Mattis was: “the world’s most overrated general. You know why? He wasn’t tough enough. I captured ISIS. Mattis said it would take 2 yrs. I captured them in 1 month”

Looks and sounds familiar. When Donnie says,"I captured ISIS," does he mean he did it personally? Maybe on that long weekend when we all thought he was playing golf?

I think, if you ask anyone on the Right, they'll confirm that nobody ever said it was about national security. That's just something people like you pretend so you can draw a false equivalence with Jared Kushner's use of a private email account to transact government business with a foreign country. What the Right has always been concerned about is the content of the emails, which must have been highly incriminating - otherwise they wouldn't have been deleted, would they? With military-grade software, no less. (The same grade everybody uses, of course, but still military-grade.) Details of the paedophile ring, the Clinton murders, Whitewater, the Benghazi murders, who knows what else? (Who apart from George Soros, who knows everything.)

Why would they need to be "incriminating"?

I delete emails all the time; none of them incriminating. I delete them because I don't need them any more, or they are old and no longer relevant, or they are spam that got through my spam wall.

Maybe Hilary's emails were politically sensitive, such as campaign strategies, or profiles on Republican candates - things that she didn't ever want to fall into the hands of someone like Trump?

Meeting on Syria did not go well, with the Dems walking out because Trump insulted Nancy Pelosi.
everything Trump does is to play to his base, to whom "Dissing the Dems" is the highest prority. Screw actually getting anything done.

I should probably leave the irony to Cain. Of course that was the implication the "outraged" Right left hanging there, and it was explicit in Trump's call-out to the Russians : "find the missing emails and you'll find mountains of dirt in them".

Maybe Hilary's emails were politically sensitive, such as campaign strategies, or profiles on Republican candates - things that she didn't ever want to fall into the hands of someone like Trump?
They were vetted and judged to be entirely personal, between Clinton and friends of hers in the diplomatic corps. That was the point of the private server - to keep such conversations away from the likes of Trump and Murdoch.

Giuliani hired an lawyer. That's par for the course. When you're Trump's lawyer, it's virtually a given that you will need a lawyer. The only question is, will Giuliani's lawyer eventually require a lawyer. That's a 50/50.
Another typical outcome when Trump hires a lawyer, or when Trump's lawyer hires a lawyer: Said lawyer doesn't last a week.

You want me to represent that nonsense to a federal judge??
Giuliani and the aforementioned lawyer parted ways.

Trump claimed that America’s relationship with Italy goes back “thousands of years.”

This is from the White House transcript, remarks Donnie made at the news conference welcoming the president of Italy:
Iran will be an interesting case, but we’ll see. They want to talk. We’ll see whether or not they talk. If they talk, good. And if they don’t talk, that’s okay, too. But I think we’re doing a very good job in the sense of, strategically, we have Syria talking about their land. It’s not our land. Turkey has gone on to Syria. And, if Turkey goes into Syria, that’s between Turkey and Syria; it’s not between Turkey and the United States, like a lot of stupid people would like us to — would like you to believe.

Trump Tweets

Senator Rand Paul just wrote a great book, “The Case Against Socialism” which is now out. Highly recommended – as America was founded on LIBERTY & INDEPENDENCE – not government coercion, domination & control. We were born free, and will stay free, as long as I am your President!
How would Trump have the slightest idea what any books says let alone Rand Paul's latest nonsense tome? He doesn't read anything longer than his signature.

That was...utterly shambolic. He had absolutely zero idea what he was talking about. Nothing. Nada. Zip.

Do his minders even care what he says in public now? Are they, too, preparing their resumes?
