I'm going to assume van der Leek isn't registered on this forum, and get personal - the guy is physically repulsive. Huge conk overhanging a mouthful of horrible, rodent-like little teeth. I think he has a complex about his looks and it's turned him into a vicious little ****.

Right at this moment intelligent and well-informed people are banging on about the colour of barns. In the meantime Leek has uploaded 4 hours on his opinion of the case all virtually unopposed. With our collective acumen we should be able to debate the case and upload podcasts or make presentations on YouTube where it matters, AND rip up Leek at the same time. Instead we are stuck in this murky backwater pinned down by a lone sociopath who M.O. is repeat drivel all day, yet you would think it was opium. C'mon guys, time for rehab.

There's really no "opposition" to that crap which even needs to be done. We are right and they are wrong.

Just like, for example, those who hold that men really did travel to and land on the Moon are right, and those who think the Moon landings were faked are wrong.

The Moon-landing-hoax nutters can put up as many YouTube videos attempting a forensic analysis of their nutty, evidence-free, ignorant, intellect-lite beliefs as they like - there's simply no need for any rational critical thinker to waste any time or effort engaging in any opposition.

Likewise with the pro-guilt *ahem* "commentators" in the Kercher case.....

I am somewhat embarrassed to admit I wasted nearly 30 minutes listening to this guy. As bad as his copy/paste books are, his videos are far worse. NvDL is already a lost cause... he saddled up to the guilter horse and has shown no inclination to actually learn anything about the case, so there is no sense in trying to set him straight. And with only five comments in over two weeks, one of them from himself, I don't see any need to set the 'crowd' straight either.

There's no need to "out argue" either of NvdL or Harry Rag. The first visceral reaction to their audio/textual tripe is sheer boredom, and fits of yawning. Anyone who's been around this case for 10 mins can spot their lunacy.

Wake me when one of the **finally**, after a dozen years of trying, puts together a timeline of evidence which argues guilt for either of AK and/or RS.

And that's saying plenty because his books are steaming piles of crap. One of his many failings is his choice to let an ignorant, no-talent hack be his one of his "editors".

It's strange, isn't it? In an intellectually honest debate, in a situation such as this, the person in question would write something like: "Oh, sorry, I misremembered/misinterpreted what you'd written. You are correct and I concede the point".

That's if one is debating with even an ounce of intellectual honesty, though.....

(Of course, in an intellectually honest debate, we would also expect to see words written along the lines of: "Oh sorry. I can't find any reliable source evidence to suggest (far less confirm) that the Knox family used $2 million-worth of PR work, so I concede that this was never anything more than a totally unsubstantiated rumour." But again, that's what's to be expected within an intellectually honest debate.......)

You really really don't know what your talking about. As usual. You can find Red barns in probably every State, maybe every county regardless of their heritage.

Here's what the Farmer's Almanac says why so many barns are painted red.

Ever wonder why are barns painted red in color? Red is (or, perhaps, was) a popular color for older barns due not to its color shade but for its usefulness.

Many years ago, choices for paints, sealers and other building materials did not exist. Farmers had to be resourceful in finding or making a paint that would protect and seal the wood on their barns.

Hundreds of years ago, many farmers would seal their barns with linseed oil, which is an orange-colored oil derived from the seeds of the flax plant. To this oil, they would add a variety of things, most often milk and lime, but also ferrous oxide, or rust. Rust was plentiful on farms and because it killed fungi and mosses that might grow on barns, and it was very effective as a sealant. It turned the mixture red in color.

When paint became more available, many people chose red paint for their barns in honor of tradition.
