This is the same thought I had earlier.
"He's gonna go away" is not a viable end to this in any possible scenario.
Removal through impeachment, indictment, voted out, he goes to prison... regardless of how he leaves office Trump is not going retire to a life of quiet solitude.
Trumps not ever going to do the "Quiet life outside of the public eye, maybe write a book, do the occasional speaking tour, show up in public in an official capacity once in a blue moon" kind of thing.
For all our "bad" Presidents (however you wish to put into that category) we as a country generally have pretty good "ex-Presidents" who generally don't bash the sitting President or inject themselves too hard into politics.
I don't see Trump maintaining that trend.
