Anyway, IMO YouTube is the real battleground as far as the case is concerned. Rag hasn't got past me or Francisco yet, y'all need to get your asses over there and kick the living crap out of Leek. Vixen is a waste of keystrokes.

Hoots

IMNSHO there is no battleground left about this case. Even the Italian media has bowed to the inevitable - that the final Italian Supreme Court decision got it right.

I've run across three or four people in the past whose intro to the case was TJMK, or Harry Rag's PR endeavours. Indeed, I'm one of them. None of them stayed long within Rag's world of factoids.

Both AK and RS have moved on. If there is any mercy in the world, the Kercher's have also moved on..... save that Rudy is soon to be released.

I may be the worst person to suggest such, but this case has been over for years now. Any of Rag's factoids have long since been debunked; the rebuttals are on speed dial.

Looks more like a typical barn.

In Finland.

It could be Sweden.

Only the west side of Finland goes for red. East is typically grey.

You are no Sherlock Holmes.

More of a 'Wat????' 'sun

Is the west side of Finland not "in Finland"?

No, that's Mignini you're thinking of.

I'm still laughing at Vixen claiming that red is only used in the west of Finland as if that's not 'in Finland'. The house in Krissy Allen's page is definitely the famous red used in both Sweden and Finland (but only, apparently, that part of Finland that isn't 'in Finland'.)

I'm still laughing that the house/barn in Krissy Allen's page is the famous red used in Sweden and Finland that is, apparently, only used in the part of Finland that isn't "in Finland"

I'm still laughing that Stacyhs thinks red house/barns are only found in Finland.

Wow. Here's a challenge for ya, Vix: quote me where I ever said that "red house/barns are only found in Finland". Maybe if you read more slowly you catch the highlighted bits above.
Don't you ever get tired of embarrassing yourself?

Out of morbid curiosity I wasted about 30 mins listening to one of NvDL's videos. I wouldn't have thought it possible, but I think the videos are worse than his books. I'm sure Harry and his minions will chime in (well, maybe, with only 5 comments in two weeks it seems there is little interest in what this dullard has to say) but nothing new there.

Shock of shocks! Vixen cannot quote me saying that barns/houses are only red in
Finland. That's about as surprising as Trump praising himself.

That refers to early Dutch settlers from 1700's to the 1800's. The article is pure supposition because:

1. The Dutch liked red brick not usually barn material

2. Sweden (which includes Finland Proper) had red timber-framed country houses and farms/barns since 1500's.

So the citation is flawed.

Try again, Vix. Barns are red by tradition in the US:

By the late 1700s, farmers looking to shield their barns' wood from the elements began experimenting with ways to make their own protective paint.

A recipe consisting of skimmed milk, lime and red iron oxide created a rusty-colored mixture that became popular among farmers because it was cheap to make and lasted for years. Farmers were able to easily obtain iron oxide the compound that lends natural red clay its coppery color from soil. Linseed oil derived from flax plants was also used to seal bare wood against rotting, and it stained the wood a dark coral hue.

Farmers also noticed that painting their barns with the homemade paint kept the buildings warmer during the wintertime, since the darker color absorbs the sun's rays more than plain, tan wood. So red paint spread in popularity due to its functionality and convenience, becoming an American tradition that continues to this day.

Vixen's claim the article is "flawed" for the reasons she posts are just plain wrong. It doesn't matter that Sweden had red barns at a time that the future US was not even colonized yet; that has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that barns in the US are traditionally red. Sheesh. You can't admit to being wrong about anything. Instead, you prefer to make ludicrous arguments that would embarrass anyone else.

The citation is for you questioning that barns are typically red in the US, so it stands. You have reading comprehension issues, as the article is about why barns are typically red in the US.

There are a couple of theories on why red is the predominate color of barns.

I am willing to wager barns in the US are only 'traditionally red' in areas with high scandinavian populations.
