Do they not understand what an inquiry is? Do they not understand that there are NO STANDARD for impeachment?

There seems to be a collective insanity to the right-wingers these days. I guess there really is a Trump Derangement Syndrome.

They really do seem to be trying to land on some sort of "You can't investigate us until you can already prove we've done the thing you are going to investigate us for" argument, like some insane Real Politika version of Jabba's ole' "I refuse to start the discussion until you already agree I'm correct" game.

All of this impeachment nonsense, which is going nowhere, is driving the Stock Market, and your 401K’s, down. But that is exactly what the Democrats want to do. They are willing to hurt the Country, with only the 2020 Election in mind!

Nancy Pelosi just said that she is interested in lowering prescription drug prices & working on the desperately needed USMCA. She is incapable of working on either. It is just camouflage for trying to win an election through impeachment. The Do Nothing Democrats are stuck in mud!

Adam Schiff should only be so lucky to have the brains, honor and strength of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. For a lowlife like Schiff, who completely fabricated my words and read them to Congress as though they were said by me, to demean a First in Class at West Point, is SAD!

The Do Nothing Democrats should be focused on building up our Country, not wasting everyone’s time and energy on ********, which is what they have been doing ever since I got overwhelmingly elected in 2016, 223-306. Get a better candidate this time, you’ll need it!

Democrats are trying to undo the Election regardless of FACTS!

The "shoot them in the legs" thing certainly seems to be moot, since Trump didn't seem particularly bothered by the idea that he might have suggested that. I think it's been pointed out in this thread, but that may be because his truly hard-core base- the only people he seems interested in being President of- aren't particularly bothered by it either.

Like 90% of Trump's tweets sound to me exactly like a badly written action movie villain just as the climactic scene turns in the hero's favor.

"YOU CANNOT STOP ME! SEIZE HIM!"

Sometimes I hear the more articulate among his supporters spin, and they're very good at it. Being a person who tries to think critically, I occaisionally ask myself "Is it possible I'm reading Trump wrong? Could he be not quite as terrible as I think?"

Then I read one of these tweets.

This was certainly covered, but Trumpy fails to note that the law was one requiring a candidates tax returns be shown before candidacy. That law was struck down.

So Trump's great victory was again him being allowed to continue being a lying, tax-dodging weasel.

He should read The Constitutional grounds for Impeachment. Written in 1974 by Republican and Democratic Congressional lawyers. He might even have heard of some of those lawyers. Bill Weld, former Republican governor of Massachusetts and currently running for the Republican nomination for President and Hillary Rodham. Maybe he's heard of her.

Which of course ignores the real reason that the stock markets are down: weak data from the manufacturing sector and the job markets.

Tuesday's report by the Institute of Supply Management showed America's manufacturing sector contracted for a second month in a row in September...In more disappointing data, private payrolls for September undercut expectations earlier Wednesday. The report also sharply revised the August numbers down, which is adding some nervous tensions ahead of Friday's US jobs report.

So I guess the question is: Just how stupid are Trump supporters.

Trump's approval ratings are low, but he still gets high marks for his handling of the economy (despite him actually doing little to improve the situation.) Normally if the economy tanks you would expect the president's approval rating to drop as well. Will Trump's attempts to deflect the blame actually work with his supporters?
