The bulk of the objections to Thunberg's activities are just variations on the old "crisis actor" hand-wave that right-wingers are so inordinately fond of these days.
I would have said "Crisis over-actor" in her case tbf

Ah Jason Moma.....Just another chicken running around in circles squawking about the governments and corporations while pigging back way more fossil fuels than the peoples he's advocation for.
But, hey, at least he's talking right ?
Oh and a little background information on the plastics in the ocean thing would have been nice.
Wait, that might not be the best article to use it actually suggests ways how to cut your plastic consumption, an apparent anathema to those who prefer talking and climate strikes over cutting down consumption and reducing emissions.
Carry on.....
I don't know what point you think you are making.
You agree with Greta? It's really pretty simple....Consume less, save the planet.
Disagree ?
You agree with Greta?
Just in case it needs to be said:
Is Greta Thunberg Really an Actress Named Estella Renee?
No. No, she is not.
I would if reduce were her message.
It's not, it's point and wag fingers and, hopefully, somebody will do something.
You read the article I posted, the one that said that 9% of plastics are recycled ? Did you have any idea that the rate was that low or did you just trust whatever level of government was running your blue box program and take that route ( rather than reduce ) because it was the easiest and most convenient ?
You do know that it is far, far cheaper to make plastic than to recycle it, don’t you? Capitalism won’t solve this problem. Government intervention will. We need courageous leaders.......
.... declaring pointless "National Climate emergencies" that do Jack all.
Oh Christ. Did you read the post i was responding to? Perhaps you can start doing this.
On mandating the recycling of plastics of course. What did you think he was talking about?Govt intervening in what exactly?

Because without laws requiring these things, people won't do them because it's just cheaper not to.Yes, and of mandating reduction in use of plastic packaging.
Yes, and of mandating reduction in use of plastic packaging.
My point is that capitalism won’t solve problems like this.

Is that clearer, cullennz?
