The Trials of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito: Part 29

You have to wonder about those police! The key is hanging on the hook right next to the front door upstairs. Amanda and Filomena both knew about it but no cop bothered to ask either of them if they had a key to downstairs before Brunhilda Cop smashed her foot through the door? Smart....

When police do a raid, there is no advance warning.

There you go again, blathering about things you know nothing about. Stop talking bollocks.

LOL! You really have no idea what you're talking about. Their houses are two blocks from each other. Here's a picture of Curt's hovel in that 'run-down' neighborhood:

And the point of this is?

Earlier, after you made a false claim about what Knox said in her book, I reminded you that I have her book. But you just don't learn. Here is exactly what she said, in toto, in her book about losing her bedroom at Curt's house:

No mention of "throwing a teenage hissy fit" or "refusing to visit again".

Regarding not staying over anymore, this is what she actually wrote:

Ashley and Delaney are 8 and 12 years younger than Amanda respectively, so that means that Amanda and Deanna moved to the playroom couch when Amanda was 12. Amanda stopped staying overnight at her dad's when she was 14. Once again, you really need to just stop making crap up out of whole cloth.

Sigh...here goes another pie in the sky request ...please provide evidence that Curt Knox was ever ordered to take an anger management course and that he is a "shouty, aggressive fellow" and that he "denied Amanda was his".

As for going to court for child support, how do you know it was for failure to pay and not due to Edda requesting an increase in the amount? That's how it's done: the parent requesting the increase goes to court and the judge decides if an increase is merited. Go on, show me the evidence. By the way, nice touch changing Barbie Nadeau's "on more than one occasion" to "on numerous occasions".

Please spare us your fanciful excursions into La La Land based on your own warped imagination.

Linda Kulman would put a neutral diplomatic slant on it, wouldn't she?

As for living in a working-class neighbourhood, and I believe West Seattle is, it doesn't mean poor or shabby, does it? I wasn't commenting on the state of Edda's house, which is probably her making the most of what she could do on her teachers salary and Curt withholding child support.

The house looks pretty standard. Are you claiming it is special?

Cassandra may have lived two blocks away but they were definitely in a nicer house and better off.

You are deluded. Knox lived in a run-down working class area. Curt and Cassandra lived in a nicer neighbourhood, gave their daughters the same initials as Amanda and Deanna and when Curt took away Amanda's regular bedroom where she usually stayed when visiting, Amanda threw a hissy teenage fit and refused to visit again.

Then when she was younger, a judge ordered Curt to take an anger management course. He was a shouty, aggressive fellow who denied Amanda was his and refused to pay child maintenance. Edda had to go to court on numerous occasions.

Nothing unusual about this situation except Meredith's apparent snubbing of Knox likely triggered deep feelings of rejection in Know, leading to her mean-spirited actions.

You don't know what the hell you are talking about. AGAIN. I lived for 4 years in that neighborhood. The homes in West Seattle are upper middle class and are highly valued as they are a 10 to 15 minute drive to downtown Seattle. And has been pointed out, Curt's home is 2 blocks away from Edda. This is hardly moving to a swankier part of town.

That's a really nice house in a great location. And home values are all about location.

This hagiography is getting ridiculous. So first Knox came from a working class neighbourhood and now she's risen to the ranks of 'upper middle class' like some kinda Lady Diana.

Next you'll be making out she's aristocracy and Mother Theresa in one.

There is no shame in living in a working class neighbourhood, you know. The working classes are the salt of the earth.

What is the matter with you? The end point of this stupid narrative of yours is that the victim, in your fantasy, was so much of a snob that Knox got jealous.

Returning to reality for one second, even the convicting courts rejected all of this stupid psychologizing of the crime. Judge Massei was clear, no one needed to encourage Rudy Guede to assault young women.

Logical fallacy #203: the non sequitor.

Well said, Bill Bills

You don't get it. The homes are relatively modest. But their location is what makes them valuable. And as Seattle has grown in popularity homes closer in have grown exponentially in value. Take the same homes and move them 15 miles South and you can cut the price in half. That neighborhood in the 1930s and 1940s was a working class neighborhood. And it still has that middle class middle American feel. It would be a great place to raise a family. But those modest homes sell for a 3/4 million dollars today.

What I really love about this discussion about Amanda's neighborhood. Vixen who lives in England and has no idea what Seattle is like is telling some of us who hail from Seattle what it's like. This is like Donald Trump. Vixen just makes up a story and fills in the details and then defends it when she's called out on it.

This thread is now way, way down the rabbit hole of Vixen's making. Like mentioned above, we're only talking about house prices in West Seattle because Vixen has this silly narrative that the victim had been a snob, and Knox had been a hayseed who'd fallen off a truck in the big city.

It's time for another, "even if". The Italian Supreme Court's logic in assessing all the other silliness Nencini had used to convict.

Even if true, house prices in West Seattle **still** don't put either Ak or RS in the murder room at the time of the murder.

Let's not go down Vixen's rabbit hole. Remember she's the one who bragged that all her stuff comes from court documents!

You're incapable of recognising the past form of the verb "to be"?

WAS.

(Hint: for a long time, Notting Hill WAS inhabited by primarily poor West Indian immigrant workers)

Your arguments are getting more and more detatched from logic. And from reality.

You're lecturing me on logical fallacy? You should know, I suppose.

I'm still looking for a home with an inside bath. And some Texas tea.

LOL

Still, it's a good bit of weekend fun to watch Vixen doubling down - once again - in an increasingly pathetic attempt to defend her original dreadfully-incorrect and bias-laden "argument" :D

Hey Vixen: why did John Kercher walk out on his wife and children when Meredith was just a kid? Eh? Eh? And what lasting effects must that have had on the young Meredith?? Eh? Eh????

Only kidding :) Of course it would be disgusting and inappropriate to try to engage in some uninformed cod-spychology "analysis" about the obviously sad breakdown of someone's parents' marriage and its effect upon that person. Wouldn't it?

Or would it be less disgusting and inappropriate to do so when it all aided to justify one's warped mindset in the unjustified and unjustifiable vilification of that person......?
