Well, when he likes a tweet, he reportedly has it printed out by a staffer, signs it, and then posts it to them.

Ok, we'll do a much better job of putting a stop to that when we figure out how to talk to each other. Because I'm pretty sure that us just screaming at each other is precisely how they keep getting away with it.

Democratic legislators have tried. McConnell won't bring anything to the floor that isn't 100% GOP approved.

Their idea of compromise is the Democrats voting for GOP bills, no amendments allowed.

I'm pretty sure as long as people keep making a false equivalence about the two parties, the only solution that can be had is complete Democratic capitulation, as traitors to their constituents.

Wow, the reporter actually asked Trump what it was like "down there" and Trump answered as if he had been then quickly shifted to the First Responders.

That combined with him making a claim for building damage to pilfer the 911 Funds, how do his followers not notice?

Last time I voted it was a paper ballot, nothing electronic. Don't know how common that is.

ETA: It also turned out that early ballots were counted later than Election Day ballots. Don't know why.

Where I vote we fill out a paper ballot and then feed it into a voting machine. I wonder if that's what he's referring to? Keeping the paper ballots for recounts.

It's the same in the county where I vote (NC counties each get to choose their own type of voting machine), but it isn't quite right to say that there's nothing electronic about it.

After we fill in the paper ballot, filling little bubbles with a black ink pen, the ballots are fed into a machine which does the actual counting ... electronically.

Yes, there are still the paper ballots to do a recount if demanded, but as long as there isn't a large discrepancy between the electronic results and exit polls/surveys, there won't be any groundswell of support to do that.

I'm rather certain that nobody calls Trump directly at the White House at all. It will be a team of flunkies taking the calls and screening them first.

Lots of black people are calling and saying you are doing a great job! They really like you! You have the highest ratings with them! I can’t find the stats at the moment, but apparently “Morning Joe” had their best first quarter ever, and the second qtr showed only a slight dip.

3) The folks here often forget that critical thinking is difficult process that the vast majority of Americans never learned.

That makes sense but it's not what I recall - and the count in one election went on for days.

I don't know how without a scanner results are available so soon after polls close.

Hey everyone - get educated on how your state handles it and write to elections directors about possible safeguards. The federal government is apparently not going to do that.

"Trump winning" is irrelevant, though... and not only because Trump will reach deep into his rear hole and pull out claims of all kinds of wins. What matters is the effects on the country and the specifics of the plans, first and foremost. Much like Obama, if Trump and the Republicans were to push for, for example, something actually better than the ACA, I would support it and be completely unphased by Trump claiming the win, provided he actually had a meaningful hand in making it happen, unlike so much else that he's claimed credit for.

What the White House says about it is "Trump Fake".
It is healthy and accurate to reverse Trump's labeling of the MSM and simply describe the fact that he is dishonest and lying and need not be taken seriously.

Wow! A federal Judge in the Southern District of N.Y. completely dismissed a lawsuit brought by the Democratic National Committee against our historic 2016 campaign for President. The Judge said the DNC case was “entirely divorced” from the facts, yet another total & complete....

....vindication & exoneration from the Russian, WikiLeaks and every other form of HOAX perpetrated by the DNC, Radical Democrats and others. This is really big “stuff” especially coming from a highly respected judge who was appointed by President Clinton. The Witch Hunt Ends!

If you look at the ruling, it stated that Russia could not be prosecuted, because the action was not on US soil and that it is not illegal to receive stolen information.
It does not address Trump solicited the crime in the first place.

The judge denied Trump's sanction request, the allegations were not "so objectively unreasonable as to warrant the imposition of sanctions. Nor was it so objectively unreasonable for the DNC to pursue its lawsuit after the Mueller Report was issued that sanctions should be imposed"

Here we mark paper ballots with a pen and the machine scans them. So you have them as a way to verify the count if there is a concern.
