The Trump Presidency 14

Here's a question. When was the last time anyone; Trump, a member of his administration, or one his street level supporters argued an actual positive for Trump? Something that wasn't on the level of "You can't prove X."

I meet and talk to “foreign governments” every day. I just met with the Queen of England (U.K.), the Prince of Wales, the P.M. of the United Kingdom, the P.M. of Ireland, the President of France and the President of Poland. We talked about “Everything!” Should I immediately....

....call the FBI about these calls and meetings? How ridiculous! I would never be trusted again. With that being said, my full answer is rarely played by the Fake News Media. They purposely leave out the part that matters
I wonder what makes him think these people trust him anyway.

Look, if Trump says he would probably go to the FBI, maybe he means that, too. The point is, no one knows. Meanwhile it's open season for influence peddling from all and sundry. Maybe it has always been. We can maybe hope that China's meddling cancels out Russia's.

Liberals, like women, can't math. Let me break it down:
Cheating + Winning still equals Winning.
In conclusion: Suck it.

I have to wonder how many intelligence agencies around the world started working on "dossiers" they can offer to Trump in the next year or so. We already know he'll accept them, so you could feed him just about any line of ******** you felt like.

It will be interesting to see if **** gets real for Trump as he tries to navigate a foreign policy that includes both rolling over for Putin and talking tough on Venezuela and Iran. For Republican senators, Trump may have a political upside - a rabidly loyal fan base - but his downside is a bottomless pit. I can't believe his enablers are oblivious to that.

An army of capable people have left that administration and I can't believe that none of them are following up on a threat to national security. Trump's refusal to take even basic precautions has got to be giving some Republicans fits.

ETA: Just noticed the two "I can't believe" statements here. I try not to argue from incredulity, but it's sincere. Maybe wishful thinking but could Republican senators start to hedge their bets on Trump?

ETA2: I find it almost reassuring that Trump is now admitting so many things he's denied over the past couple of years. It's oddly refreshing. He's saying to his detractors that actually, they weren't wrong about him. Next he'll say he would be happy to personally profit from his presidency on the grounds that everybody does it. His supporters will cheer him on. Until they stop.

When Senator @MarkWarnerVA spoke at length, and in great detail, about extremely negative information on me, with a talented entertainer purporting to be a Russian Operative, did he immediately call the FBI? NO, in fact he didn’t even tell the Senate Intelligence Committee of....

....which he is a member. When @RepAdamSchiff took calls from another person, also very successfully purporting to be a Russian Operative, did he call the FBI, or even think to call the FBI? NO! The fact is that the phony Witch Hunt is a giant scam where Democrats,...

....and other really bad people, SPIED ON MY CAMPAIGN! They even had an “insurance policy” just in case Crooked Hillary Clinton and the Democrats lost their race for the Presidency! This is the biggest & worst political scandal in the history of the United States of America. Sad!

Warner and Schiff both contacted the FBI, both before proceeding and after replying to the initial contact, and recommended that the "foreigner" do the same.

Notably, both have always been at least reasonably trustworthy in the conventional sense, while Dolt 45 can be trusted to cheat, steal, and throw tantrums.

Rick Santorum: Trump Was Just Using ‘Filler Words’ When He Said He’d Accept Foreign Help

Santorum:
“And the president’s words are often imprecise lies, and not necessarily, uh—that’s why he didn’t want to be interviewed with Robert Mueller because he tends to sort of ramble lie and talk lie about things more loosely every time he opens his mouth.”

Fixed that for him.

If I ever feel sorry for Rick Santorum and his association with santorum, I’ll reread this interview and any feelings of sorriness will disappear.

Right, Senator Santorum. You just asserted that the president is incapable of engaging in the type of formal speech required during court testimony, grand jury testimony, and deposition testimony. Of course, the senator is probably right. Any defense lawyer will explain that the number one rule is answer the question in a brief, simple, honest, straightforward manner - do not add anything and do not go beyond precisely what was asked. There appears to be ample evidence that President Trump is not very practiced at that particular skill.

Making sure he never testified under oath was an extremely effective strategy.

After 3 1/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going home to the Great State of Arkansas....

....She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job! I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas - she would be fantastic. Sarah, thank you for a job well done!

I suppose. :p

Here's another one: Hannity said the question was a set-up.

Hahahaha! Yeah. It wasn't a "setup". Trump could have just said

"No, I would not accept foreign information"

"Yes, FBI Director is correct; I would call the FBI"

But of course, if the question was a setup, then it was so that Dump could justify what he and his campaign did in 2016; what Kushner and Dump Jr failed to do in 2016 - call the FBI

While I very much appreciate P.M. Abe going to Iran to meet with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, I personally feel that it is too soon to even think about making a deal. They are not ready, and neither are we!

She's had enough! Kellyanne next!

Note: The original Tweet said "the Prince of Whales". Seriously. If it had been left up for some time I'd think it was an intentional distraction. The quick edit makes me believe that The PDJT thinks it's really spelled that way. Maybe some staff member grabbed his phone and fixed it.
There are no Trump golf-courses in Wales, I'm pretty sure of that. There's no reason for Trump to be aware there even is such a place.
