The Trump Presidency 14

Presidents always ride in their own personal bomb-proof, bullet-proof, poison-gas-proof limo that is sent ahead on overseas trips. I m speculating when I say that the other limos are most likely for his family members who usually don’t travel with the president.
So are you saying somebody wants them bombed, shot and poisoned?

Trump is very keen to offer the best trade deal to the UK after they have their hard brexit. The trade deal will include the demand that the NHS gets nobbled.
It was painfully clear from all the available video evidence that Trump has no ******* idea what the UK NHS is. New Housing Service? North Humberside Sewerworks? National Hockey Series?

Not. A. Clue.

WTF? :jaw-dropp

What on Earth is in the NHS Trump hopes to get?

:boggled:

Must be odd to occupy command position in today's US military, what with the troops enamored of the "commander" in chief, and meanwhile, the top brass knowing this:

U.S. at Risk of Losing Military Technology Edge to China in Two Years

OK, let's say that the article is alarmist and is another fishing expedition for funds. Even then, how do 300 million plus brains, even assuming they receive an education, compete with over a billion in the medium term? Oh, say, cooperate with allies in the EU and elsewhere? Rii-iight. Not no mo'.

Too bad popguns and BuyBulls will be no defense. Well, there's always prayer.

The problem isn't funding - it is representatives valuing jobs in their district over what the military needs.
Also a decades-old effort to hide soldiers from public view before, during and after their service.

Troll, troll, troll your posts
Gently down the thread

Yeah, not your best work. 2/10 for trolling.

Don't know that I would necessarily consider posting that opinion piece as "trolling".

The opinion of the author seems to be that Trump Is no different from any other power-seeking person in what they seek, and is simply more transparent in seeking it.

That opinion seems to be shared by many Trumpsters. Seems relavent to the thread.

For those who skipped the link, the piece does not say that trump is literally an honest person, but rather that he's just dumb as a bag of hammers and unashamed of the boundless asshattery he personifies, and which the writer believes he intrinsically represents, being standard fare as head of the US government .

"To be clear, I am not saying that Trump actually tells the truth with his words; he obviously does not. Trump is so comfortable with lying that he once tweeted the claim that he’d never urged House Republicans to vote for a particular immigration bill, three days after posting a tweet explicitly urging House Republicans to vote for that bill. He left both tweets up. I mean, that’s like one click away from literally looking someone in the eye while urinating on their leg and telling them it must be the rain."

The trolling headline was Caitlin's, not CE's. It's a funny article; saying that he's "honest" because he's such a buffoon that not only does he show up his own doucheworthiness but exposes the entire "Empire" as a sham.

He was talking what Farage had told him about, at least as much as he could remember ("Donald, insist the NHS is opened up to US interests").
Because Farage is backed by US medical insurance interests.

Do any US industries own foreign health insurance or hospitals?

How does the latter imply the former?

The top two firms cover 90 million Americans. When we are talking about the US health insurance industry as a general unit, that is captured by the interests of the top firms.

If I had to bet, I would bet on the hedge fund and pharmacy industry being interested in a privatized NHS before the health insurance industry.
