I’ll accept, uncritically, that Christian conservatives might assert that he is moving the country in the right direction. Or that he is moving the country closer to God. But to say that he is everything a Christian conservative wants in a president? That leaves me scratching my head. Wouldn’t a Christian conservative want a president who inspires others to live a Godly life? Who leads by example by attending church services? Who can cite specific scriptures as a factor in his or her decisions? Who can quote even a single bible verse without reading a TelePrompter (see last week for an example)?

I understand that POTUS need not walk on water, but is it too much to expect Christian conservatives to have an item on their everything-we-want-in-a-president list that says “not act like a ill-mannered child who calls people names when they commit real or imagined slights against the president”?

How strange that he appears to call out Russia on this while downplaying the role of Iran. Who's driving this?

Trump is the one who said he would "bomb the ****" out of ISIS. Didn't know he had ideologue-seeking smart bombs that would leave innocent civilians untouched in a war with no clear battle front.

They are just touching his garments in order to be healed. Surely Trump must be the most persecuted public figure maybe in the history of the world. Nobody has suffered like he has. And he does it all to deliver us from evil - Democrats, the MSM and Europe. I can see why he is an object of veneration. He's such an inspiration, it's no wonder they worship the ground he walks on.

....Kahn reminds me very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC, de Blasio, who has also done a terrible job - only half his height. In any event, I look forward to being a great friend to the United Kingdom, and am looking very much forward to my visit. Landing now!

This reminds me of when he said that the various countries south of Mexico should just stop their citizens from leaving their countries. He seems to think that every country is led by a dictator with absolute authority and the resources to crush their people with impunity.

I think it's even worse then that ironically.

I think Trump gets off on the image of power more so then any actual power.

With Trump, my gut tells me, it's more about the feeling of power one gets when one makes a decision of a dozen toadies immediately jump to "make it happen." I'd wager he's far less concerned with whether or not it actually ever happens.

That's why Trump operates on the level he does. When he's in a staff meeting and out of nowhere slams his hands on the table and goes "Giant Deathray in New York Harbor, make it happen!" or whatever nonsense sprang into his head he just wants that immediate, instant high of a bunch of people scrambling to make his whim a reality, not his actual whim becoming a reality.

Trump doesn't give two farts in the wind about the Wall or the Tariffs or the Muslim Ban or this or that in any real, emotional, human sense of the term.

He's not a would be dictator. He's a sad little boy daydreaming about being a dictator.

That doesn't however, make him better or less dangerous.
