Even if it were a lie (and it's not) who cares? It's got traction. As long as it hurts Trump it's okay. No rule of decency, honesty or honor can apply to Trump. He just needs to be voted out of office regardless of how low the tactics used are.

I'm not a fan of impeachment. Look at Trump supporters. From history, we know what can happen when their kind get a stab in the back myth.

That said, if the House does this, timing will be crucial. The trial in the Senate needs to draw out long enough so any Republican who votes for impeachment won't have to face a primary challenge. I can't think of a worse outcome than a purely party-line vote in the Senate.

Well and truly stated!!!!!!!!!Trumpf is the lowest form of semi-life and a burden on the government and the country!!

ETA: Fools and tools voted him in and only they deserve him - the rest of us deserve a real and effective President.

But the allusion to Trump's "enemies" galls me, because we all know who Trump's enemies are: Robert Mueller, ALL Democrats, ALL media except a handful of Fox News "personalities," pretty much all of Europe; Canada and Mexico, depending on his mood. Some of his Christian enablers might have a clue, but that religion has its own Looney Tunes contingent expecting to be raptured at any moment so bring on the Middle East conflagration. They're saved, so **** everyone else. I just have to remind myself that there are also Christians who aren't totally bat-crap crazy with a more moderate, inclusive message.

I was going to ask about this because in one of the interviews Graham gives he makes a point of saying this wasn't an endorsement of Trump. But then goes on to point out how Trump is everything christian conservatives want in a president.

Not disagreeing with you, but from the linked article:

As for his past, this is how they justify it:

"Since our current president has taken the oath of public office, he has come nowhere near the glaring moral indecencies of Clinton while he served in office. Buttigieg is an open homosexual who claims God made him "gay" and is a better Christian because of it."

Apparently that's the line: January, 2017. Anything that happened before that he's absolved of.
(Of course it doesn't explain why they voted for him before this since he was so morally bankrupt.)

Christian evangelism is about holding yourself up to a perfect standard. Everyone fails at that because they are not the risen Christ.

So it is a sign the system is working when people who advocate a Christian lifestyle fail to love up to it. It is designed to be failed.

Impeachment is the only effective tool against Trump. Trump base is and will stay the same. Republicans as well will vote Trump no matter what. And we will not lose independents. With independents the only election issue is to get them to turn up. There you are correct, timing is somewhat important. If "Trump won", and senate vote us over, they won't bother to vote.

As I pointed out in the "London" thread, it's entirely possible for anyone but a linguist to construct his sentence as he did while honestly intending to communicate that he was ignorant of her "nasty" nature. I'm willing to give the turd the benefit of the doubt on this one, especially if his handlers are able to some extent shield him from negative commentary about him...

In this case they do. The trump obstruction is preventing any other approach. He is also disregarding all subpoenas. Also, the Senate will not act if it is not impeachment. A revealing vote will show what our politicians are like, once all the facts are out.

Except for two things.

President Trump has actually said, I have done nothing that requires forgiveness. The Christian lifestyle is about admitting a need for Christ and professing an acceptance of Christ. PDJT has done neither and has not shown even the slightest interest in doing so.

There is a difference between failing to live up to God’s standards and having read less than 100 words in the Bible while claiming “ Nobody loves the Bible more than I do.”
