Boomerang update: Nunes to send eight criminal referrals to DOJ concerning leaks, conspiracy amid Russia probe

Wasn't exactly a secret, as I told you back then reading in detail about it on that treehouse site. Make sure you keep a reservoir of tears dry, cultists. Revenge will be sweet for them and they will time it most usefully to the next elections.

LOL, did Sherlock Nunes have wait for Barr to give him the referrals before he could send them back? :p

Nothing to worry from Nunes: the new standard is: unless your crime can be proven in Court beyond a reasonable doubt, you are completely exonorated.

Alternate Theory - Filed Under L for Less Crazy.....

Barr did the job he was hired to do, obfuscate and minimize the results coming from Mueller. I'm sure he justifies it with his philosophy that is throughout his C.V. - the President Can Do No Wrong.

Now, the admin knows their time is limited so the Trump Family Noise Machine is doing six shows nightly, backed up by the Sold My Soul Singers, plugging their hit single, "No Collusion, Losers!" The DoJ and the administration will buy as much time as they can, knowing that the full report is going to get out and it ain't gonna look quite so good for Trump as his lackie, Barr, has made it sound. The longer they delay, the more stumps he and Junior and Eric can climb on and lead the crowd in "Collusion Delusion!" chants. It's all about marketing the lie to the willful cretins who support him.

This is not crazy... its insightful. Its right out of the Joseph Goebbels playbook.... Its all about The Big Lie. He needs to Lie! and Lie again! and repeat The Lie! Grow The Lie! Rinse and repeat until the gullible believe The Llie is The Truth.

And here's another thing. Trump is trying to keep the support of his base intact. He knows that these are the 35% of the voters who will vote for him no matter what; even if he were to go berserk on 5th Avenue and shoot a dozen people. If he loses any significant part of the base, he knows he will be goneberder in 2020. What he is counting on is that he can convince enough of the swing voters over the 35% to win some key states that will give him the Electoral College votes to win the Presidency again.

I do believe I have been saying this all along in different words.

I guess if people keep saying that, it will keep needing to be corrected...

NOT about getting a blowjob. About LYING UNDER OATH about said blowjob. Testifying honestly when under oath is fundamental to our entire system of justice. You can argue whether said lying should have risen to the level of an impeachable offense. But not that it was about a blowjob.

A process crime, then?

From the link;

Giuliani also dismissed claims by members of Mueller’s team that Barr’s four-page summary of Mueller’s findings misrepresented the results of the probe, saying that if the report contained damaging information, Mueller’s team would have provided specific details.

I don't understand what this means. They were provided the report. If it contains specific details then they already have them.

What kind of gibberish is this?

Ahh, the Trump regime's talking point. Tell the public that they want the report to be public, while blocking the report from coming out.

Back in July 2016 candidate Trump told a news conference:
“By the way, they hacked — they probably have her 33,000 emails. I hope they do. They probably have her 33,000 emails that she lost and deleted because you’d see some beauties there. So let’s see....And if it is Russia — which it’s probably not, nobody knows who it is — but if it is Russia, it’s really bad for a different reason, because it shows how little respect they have for our country, when they would hack into a major party and get everything. But it would be interesting to see — I will tell you this — Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press. Let’s see if that happens. That’ll be next. Yes, sir.” Link

Also important, this was what was going on elsewhere at the time:
[Trump's] comments came amid questions about the hacking of the Democratic National Committee’s computer servers, which American intelligence agencies have told the White House they have “high confidence” was the work of the Russian government...In the past, the Obama administration has stopped short of retaliating against Russia — at least in any public fashion — for its attacks on the State Department and White House unclassified email systems, or on networks used by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. It never even publicly identified Russian intelligence as the source of those intrusions, though the subject was widely discussed by senior United States officials when they were not speaking for attribution.

This was all considered to be a part of Russia's ongoing cyber espionage against the United States, a whole series of attacks, not just the DNC hacking (which is what it was, a series of illegal hacks).

This is from a cyber security company named Carbon Black:
Let’s Define Cyber Espionage
Cyber espionage is a form of cyber attack that steals classified, sensitive data or intellectual property to gain an advantage over a competitive company or government entity. Limk

Trump Tweets

“The reason the whole process seems so politicized is that Democrats made up this complete lie about Collusion ....and none of it happened.” Charles Hurt.
The Russian Hoax never happened, it was a fraud on the American people!

“Jerry Nadler is not entitled to this information. He is doing this to get it to the Democrat 2020 nominee.”

Another suspicious aspect of the Trump-Russia matter. Trump's comments in July 2016 about hacking and the Russians were in response to the allegations which were then circulating. Reports of the Trump Tower meeting with Russians -- no matter who they were or claimed to be -- in June 2016 showed Trump or his son were aware of the Russians shopping around "dirt" on Hillary Clinton and had to suspect -- even if they didn't know -- it involved computer hacking. At his July 26 press conference, candidate Trump used the words, "they hacked."

The Trumps apparently did not make anyone in U.S. security or law enforcement aware of this. As Adam Schiff put it, "They didn't notify the FBI." Should they? When the government of Australia found out that Trump’s then foreign policy adviser, George Papadopoulos, had claimed "Russia had dirt on Hillary Clinton" the Australian government immediately notified the FBI. Australia even took the unusual step of allowing the FBI to question the Australian official who had spoken with Papadopoulos, Alexander Downer (who was then Australia’s high commissioner to London).

Was the Trumps' failing to notify the authorities of the Russian overtures illegal? Probably not. Just questionable, suspicious, unethical and unpatriotic.

Worth noting that both the Trump and Clinton campaigns were briefed by the FBI that the Russians were trying to infiltrate their campaigns and that they should notify the FBI of any attempts at contact.
