What I find extremely funny is Trump's boast that the GOP health care plan will be better.

 What plan?

Seriously, when have the Republicans ever proposed a health care plan? I can't think of one. The 70s maybe? The Affordable Care Act is the closest one I can think of because it was essentially created by the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation. But the GOP never proposed it.

Trump has been saying they are going to propose something better. Better for who?
Oh but Trump DOES have a plan. Basically, it is "Rip the **** out of everything that black guy did and destroy it and I don't care who gets hurt in the process. Because he insulted me in public and my skin is so thin I will NEVER let it go because I'm a malicious narcissistic brute."

Unfortunately, we're at a point where "harming many innocent folk" is about the only thing that will make the people still supporting Trump see how stupid they're being.

It sucks, but there it is.

We're at the "piss on the electric fence" stage.

Nixon with nationalizing care for ESRD

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/End_Stage_Renal_Disease_Program

"In 1972 the United States Congress passed legislation authorizing the End Stage Renal Disease Program (ESRD) under Medicare. Section 299I of Public Law 92-603, passed on October 30, 1972, extended Medicare coverage to Americans if they had stage five chronic kidney disease (CKD) and were otherwise qualified under Medicare's work history requirements. The program's launch was July 1, 1973. Previously only those over 65 could qualify for Medicare benefits. This entitlement is nearly universal, covering over 90% of all U.S. citizens with severe CKD.[1]"

Thanks. But that's not for everybody. Personally, I think the GOPs plan is to treat Americans like altar boys. They think we should all just bend over for the healthcare industry and then thank the Holy Father and kiss their ring.

Well it is for everyone with kidney failure. About the only real disease that has universal health care in the US.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that Will Rogers never actually said anything about peeing on electric fences.

Just checked. Wikiquote cites an authority that Rogers never said or wrote it.

Sorry for the off-topic post, but Brainyquotes sucks.

No, don't get me wrong. That's a good thing. I actually believe Nixon did some very good things. He signed both the Clean Air and the Clean Water Act as well as created the EPA.

trump Tweets

Just met with @SundarPichai, President of @Google, who is obviously doing quite well. He stated strongly that he is totally committed to the U.S. Military, not the Chinese Military....

....Also discussed political fairness and various things that @Google can do for our Country. Meeting ended very well!

No, it won't make them see it. Brown people and the poor will be harmed disproprtionately, they'll see that as a good thing. If it comes to harming them, Trump and his party will blame the Socialist Nazi Democrats and they'll believe it.

He doesn't remember his fantasy was a previous fail. He's literally started fantasizing again: delusions of grandeur.

The free market is the plan. The invisible hand is very sensitive to and aware of the needs of the poor.

I think there was supposed to be a "Loss of" or a "No" in there somewhere.

Oh wait. They must have finally completed that replacement for the ACA that they've been tirelessly working on for the past ten years. It's ready to be unveiled at last. Right?
Either Trump has a plan (like he said he did during the election), or thinks he can come up with one (which would be so easy), or somebody's told him they have a plan, or he's just talking out of his rear end yet again. My money's on the last of those.

Be careful. In wishing for Trump to make a politically disastrous decision (assuming it is so), you're simultaneously wishing for something that will harm many innocent folk.

That might be the price we have to pay to get rid of Trump.

Now that it's getting closer...

I'm afraid that when The PDJT loses the election next year, he'll still have power for almost three months, and of what he can do in that time.

If the PDJT loses. Right now looks like the Dems might hand him relection on a silver platter with the disdain for centrists and moderates the Progressive wing has.

Oddly enough, a lot of progressives feel a similar sense of disdain from centrists.

Welcome to a big tent party.
