I say take the Graham deal. A special counsel either gets people convicted for it or they don't. Either is a fine outcome.

WTF? The Graham deal? Letting Trump appointed cronies decide to keep the evidence against Trump secret unless the Trump appointed AG choses to indict Trump?

Have you even thought that through?

I thought The Graham deal is a special counsel to investigate the FBI in support of a vote on the house resolution.

But Mueller isn't an opponent. He's not a politician. He's law enforcement. He is only an opponent if Trump believes he will uncover something serious Trump is hiding. Otherwise Trump could just as easily say that the report will exonerate him.
He is doing something Trump doesn't want done, you need to keep in mind there is only one other crime that is worse than that. And that crime is the word "no".

Reportedly, Mueller wanted to go after the Trump/Deutsche Bank connection, and Rosenstein blocked him for fear of Trump shutting down the entire investigation.

I attribute Trump's anger to frustration, not to any sense that he's actually been shown up as less than perfect.

This would be reasonable... if you cherry pick a bit. When everything's put together, having a fragile ego and desperately trying to protect it fits the evidence much better, I say. The frustration comes into play a little later in the process.

You can't honestly be that naive.

What's naive about it? Mueller's mandate is to find out the truth. If the truth is that Trump is innocent, then Mueller isn't Trump enemy. For that not to be true you have to suggest that Mueller is abusing his position to attack Trump regardless of the evidence.

Sure, but you have to ask why Trump does not want this done SO intensely. It seems like at least several times a week there is a passionate screeching tweet or retreat about the probe (and increasingly now focused on the final report). Tons of his political enemies are doing things he doesn't like. But the Mueller probe and report is getting ink comparable to the wall. Heck maybe more, I haven't counted. Mueller related tweets certainly tend to be longer. Why does he not want the probe done as such a high priority?

Mueller was convinced of Hatfill's guilt. Hatfill's wasn't guilty. Innocence is not the shield you seem to believe.

Prosecutors are simply not finders of truth. They are there to prosecute people for crimes. They are the embodiment of "when all you have is a hammer ..."
