The Trump and Republican messaging on Cohen is so hilarious. This guy is a felon and a liar, because he of his work for Trump and his lies for Trump. And somehow that makes Trump innocent.

Trump is, of course, profoundly stupid, but worse than that he's profoundly gullible. When Kim tells him they have "great personal chemistry" which has enabled a "great deal" he'll drink it up like mother's milk.

Putin is actually fine with the U.S. leaving the nuclear treaty, since now Russia can basically do whatever it wants, without having to worry about accusations that its violating the treaty. Putin has been basically ignoring the treaty for some time;one would think that if Donnie had such great influence with Vlad he would have convinced him to abide by it.
I disagree that whatever you see the Russians doing is for domestic consumption only, I think a fair amount of this is aimed on intimidating other countries..particulary those that used to be under Russian control.
Of all the idiotic memes from the Trump Cultist the idea that he is being "tough" on Russia is the most ridiculous. Every thing he had done against Russia has been because of pressure from the Congress. since this is just about the only area where the GOPers in Congress have had the cojones to actually stand up to Trumpy...to a degree.

He is a rat in the classic Mafia sense..in that the has turned witness against his former bosses.
Of course one could ask if Cohen is so evil, why did Trump employ him as his lawyer?
You hire a rat, you take risk he could turn on you.
Now let's see what kind of evidence Cohen can produce. As much as I hate Trump, I would not take Cohen on his word alone.

True, but nobody puts "rat" on their resume, and Trump is profoundly gullible. Cohen's no fool : things have gone bad for him now, but he's got away with his sleaze for many years, and if Trump hadn't become President might have carried on to retirement.


Now let's see what kind of evidence Cohen can produce. As much as I hate Trump, I would not take Cohen on his word alone.

And the press seems hung up on the payouts to Daniels and McDougal. Surely after 10 years of yelling at people for Trump to scare them off there must be more in that closet than 2 payouts to quiet a couple women.

The press is distracted by the shiny object in the front of the cabinet.

As I have said all along. They really are they stupid. I think Trump really believes no collusion because there is no Grand conspiracy mastermind by an evil genius. Instead it is just a bunch of jokers doing really stupid things that are illegal.

Audio recordings and physical documents.... things that even the most right-wing conservatives will not be able to deny (with any credibility);
things that Mueller will have by the ****-load!!

There probably is (think "tax returns")

Trump has never really attracted any great level of scrutiny, and he's always been able to get what he wanted by yelling angrily at people and smashing his fists on the table.

All that changed when be became president. He thought that it would make him all-powerful; that he could have his enemies investigated and jailed, that the Attorney General was there to protect him from investigation, that he could gain control if the alphabet soup, ride roughshod over Congress, bypass checks and balances, avoid oversight and do an end-run around all the inconvenient stuff such as the Constitution, the Rule of Law and due process.

Being elected president is possibly the worst thing that Trump could have happened to him.

Absolutely true. I just hope some of the digging into Dump-related white collar crime spreads out to other high rollers in finance. I'm sure Dump's not the only one who has played fast and loose with laws and regulations.
