Soon as trump got elected, Leftists became super hawk neo-cons.

Oh he is pulling troops out of Syria! Shock horror!

Oh he is actually trying to broker a peace deal in Korea. BOO! HISS!

Winding up Afghanistan? No!

Looks at all the leftists panting for him to fail at bringing peace.

Oh well, TDS is a fatal disease.

Go MR. PRESIDENT!

Actually he has backtracked on pulling troops out of Syria. DO try to keep up.
Once again, the way the Trumpists have gone from super hawks to super doves is right in "We Have Always Been At War With Eastasia and peace with Eurasia" territory.

Well, the good news is you not only missed the entire point but in fact Trump is pulling troops out of Syria.

Do TRY to keep up.

And Trump might have his first foreign policy crisis with India and Pakistan suddenly on the edge of war, with the Indian air strikes on Pakistan.

Just plain pathetic.

I wonder, though, how much of it is partisanship and spin, and how much is a genuine over-simplified, black-and-white worldview?

Just plain pathetic.

Bingo, the never Trumpers with their insipid attacks on Trump's attempt to achieve peace on the Korean Peninsula for the first time in 70 years for the sole reason that they hate his guts is:

Just plain pathetic.

Hey, I was there too! Now, that was an awesome fireworks show, the largest in the world up to that time -- I don't know if it still holds the record. I think they estimated 1 million people were there, so not as big as Obama's inauguration, but it was amazing to be in a crowd that size.

I'll bet there were more people playing frisbee in the Reflecting Pool than there were at Obama's inauguration (I still have a scar or two from that).

And more people at the Smoke-In.

:p

Those in favour of doing X intelligently are not allies with those in favour of doing X haphazardly.

Trump's policy towards Russia has been working just great.
Russian state television has listed U.S. military facilities that Moscow would target in the event of a nuclear strike, and said that a hypersonic missile Russia is developing would be able to hit them in less than five minutes. The targets included the Pentagon and the presidential retreat in Camp David, Md. The report, unusual even by the sometimes bellicose standards of Russian state TV, was broadcast on Sunday evening, days after President Vladimir Putin said Moscow was militarily ready for a ‘Cuban Missile’-style crisis if the United States wanted one. For the Trump backers out there, the thing you want to ask yourself is, what do Kim and Putin really think about Trump? They probably think he's an airbag with no gonads who has no idea who he's messing with. I saw Trump destroy the USFL, lose his airline and all of his Atlantic City investment. I DON'T want to see Trump do the same type of damage to the country I live in.

Trump going to advance peace on the peninsula is like Gary Busey advancing peace on the peninsula. The innocuous statements are somehow even more alarming.

How much prep do you think Trump did for this meeting?

Need to check if he had any calls with Putin lately to get his intel briefing.

Yeah, appeasement always works great........

But I do view the Russian claims of a new superweapon with skepticism. Russia is always claiming a new superweapon better then anything the West has, and it always proves to be just propaganda.Russians does well developing simple weapons (the AK family of rifles, for instance) but usually don't do so well on the high tech weapons.

But I agree that Trump is proving to be Putin's bitch. He really wants that Trump Tower in Moscow, I guess.

Hey they have that killer robot that is a guy in a suit.

Putin is crying for attention for his nukes almost as much as Trump cries for people to notice his electoral college win.
Ignoring him might be the best course of action.

Weird I thought the Never Trumpers were saying that Trump was Putin's bitch...

now it seems that Putin is having a next level meltdown over the Nuke Treaty, that Putin has been treating with disdain for the past decade, until trump called him on it.

Fellas, can we get some consistency here??

Oh right... Orange man bad.....

my mistake.

Following terrorist attacks from Pakistani-controlled territory which coincided with a visit by the Saudis, who've been bankrolling Pakistan since the US realised it was getting ripped-off. All part of the Saudi effort to create a grand Sunni alliance with themselves at the head and Israel on-board. (If anyone can replace the US as an arms-supplier it's the Israelis, most of whose kit is US knock-off.)

I doubt Trump knows much, if anything, about all that, but fortunately he gets regular intelligence briefings from people who do.

Real problem is that both Pakistan and India seems to falling into the hands of religious fanatics. And both have Nukes. Fun times, fun times.

Missiles are relatively low-tech and cheap (in comparison to, say, manned aircraft) and the Russians have done well with them, going back to the Katyushas which were part of the war-winning tirumvirate (with the T34 and AK's) against the Nazis. Just saying.
