Former Trump campaign staffer sues, alleging that Trump kissed her without consent

https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/25/politics/alva-johnson-donald-trump-lawsuit/index.html

"A former Trump campaign staffer is suing President Donald Trump and his campaign, alleging that the then-Republican presidential candidate kissed her without her consent during the 2016 race. She's also suing over equal pay -- claiming that she was paid less for her work based on race and gender."

Well I'm sure this will be the smoking gun that finally takes Trump down.

Somewhere out there the world's tiniest violin is playing for a woman who claims to be the victim of sexism and racism while working to have the most vile president elected in this country's history.

Leopards have been eating faces again, I see.

I know she is a registered democrat who voted for Obama twice, but I think she was too young to work on the Bill Clinton Campaigns. Do you have a source for that claim?

It is funny that the most pro-Trump thing she says is that he treats everyone like family. Yeah, that seems to have been the problem, he treated you like his daughter.

You're right... it could be. People don't really understand the details of how the economy works, they may just jump on some broad figure like "unemployment rate" and think it means more than it does...

I remember a conversation at work, back in 2016. With a woman I've worked with for quite a while and have gotten to be pretty good friends with. She also happens to be African American.

She was saying that Trump seemed like a pretty crappy person and she didn't like him. But all his claims to put people back to work, to improve the economy, made her wonder. She needed more money and more overtime. Would Trump really help working people like us? Because if he would she'd say, 'Forgive me, folks,' and vote for him. The old 'what's in it for me' routine. And I get it. But my answer was, and is, no. That the issues our company faces are economic, and not issues any president has much effect on, much less controls. Trump can say whatever he wants. His track record in business absolutely stinks and even if he suddenly morphs into the sweetest guy in America I would have trouble voting for him for such a high office.

I've said it before "the economy" is based on dozens of major and... God knows how many minor factors, many of which go back decades, very, very few of which the President has any direct influence (and even few of which he has direct control) over.

Which puts the whole "It's the economy stupid" thing when it comes to Presidential re-election into a rather bad light. If we as a nation really are largely choosing to re-elect Presidents or not based on the economy, we're pretty much doing it at random.

China Trade Deal (and more) in advanced stages. Relationship between our two Countries is very strong. I have therefore agreed to delay U.S. tariff hikes. Let’s see what happens?

Heading over to Vietnam for my meeting with Kim Jong Un. Looking forward to a very productive Summit!

Absolutely this, and the sad part is that a number posters on this forum fit that descripton.

Employment figures are totally meaningless unless you know all or most of the other factors in the economy that give you that figure. For example 100% employment sounds fine, but if most of those employees are well below the minimum wage with no benefits, then its an economic disaster waiting to happen.

Also, there are different types of (and therefore different reasons for) unemployment. How they are tackled depends on the circumstances.

Is that how you do national economic management, Donny? Let's see what happens??? Poke it with a stick without even trying to understand??

Here we have a completely frank and open admission by Trump personally that HE HAS NO CLUE WHAT HE IS DOING WITH THE U.S. ECONOMY!! Gah!

He wiped the floor with you last time. This time, he will rinse the crap out of you in public.

Too bad Spike Lee blew it with his post Oscar Temper Tantrum. Lee and Donnie have certain traits in common.

Have you seen Spike Lee's post Oscar press conference? I don't fault him for his words. He certainly thinks highly of his own work. But he never said anything I heard that was actually racist. In the moment after his loss, he wasn't gracious. Which is too bad. If Black Panther had won, I doubt he would have reacted as he did. I think that Green Book was too similar in its content to the movie that won the year his best film was snubbed that he felt the sting too acutely.

This year was way too wide open.

Here is his press conference.
