Patriots owner Robert Kraft charged with soliciting prostitution

In more ways than one, it appears that the Patriots season did in fact have a happy ending.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is being charged with the solicitation of a prostitute, Jupiter police say, CBS Miami reported. The charges stem from a months long investigation into a massage parlor.

"We're as equally stunned as anyone else," said police during a Friday morning news conference. They also said they have video evidence capturing the sex act.

Kraft's name is on the list of 25 people who will face charges in connection to a crackdown on human trafficking and spa sex acts.

ESPN just blew up with this.

I can’t really manufacture much outrage about seeing a prostitute, except the trafficking factor of the establishment if that is occurring.

Old rich dude pays for a handy isn’t really news.

How does one rebut charges like this, when one is known for surreptitious videos and flat balls?

Well, there is the juxtaposition of poor human trafficking victims having to tug on this very rich man's schwanz.

Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida.

Typically these would have Chinese immigrant prostitutes. Some may not be legal immigrants. It's also not uncommon for your hooker to be over 40 years old.

Seriously, the dude's a billionaire and he's busted at a neighborhood rub-n-tug? The kind of place the exists solely to feature on the local news for its monthly raid?

After giggling for a few minutes, I'm on the same boat. I couldn't careless what a grown adult does, but I'm concerned with the fact that those women (in some cases girls) may not be there willingly. But, is that merely a result of the service being illegal to begin with?

If this is a place of human trafficking then something is upside-down because they are arresting johns instead of the madam.

Why would the owner of one of the most successful and profitable sports teams in modern history even be at a second rate strip mall "Asian Massage" parlor between an nail salon and a Thai restaurant in Jupiter, Florida?

Dude this rich doesn't have Heidi Fleiss's number or something?

Also I wonder if there's any connection to the SEC Investigation launched against Kraft-Heinz the morning.

I wondered the same thing and thought...

Extreme convenience?
He thinks it's less risky?
Chinese fetish?

Can't believe prostitution is still illegal, though. As if it's my business if people pay other people for sex.

Ted: "Officer, I am about to have sex with this woman."
Officer: "Is the woman agreeing?"
Ted: "Oh absolutely!"
Officer: "Well good luck and a fine day to you Sir!"
Ted: "But... I'm going to give her money."
Officer: "Well know that complicates things. Are you giving her the money for sex?"
Ted: "Well let's say I just give her money and by pure coincidence she agrees to have sex with me?"
Officer: "Well I suppose that would be okay."
Ted: "But if we were to implicitly agree to trade sex for money..."
Officer: "Then it becomes illegal..."
Ted: "... but we film it."
Officer: "Legal again!"
