I want 5G, and even 6G, technology in the United States as soon as possible. It is far more powerful, faster, and smarter than the current standard. American companies must step up their efforts, or get left behind. There is no reason that we should be lagging behind on.........

First of all, 5G isn't even implemented yet... not even sure 6G is at the planning stage. A bit early to be calling for its implementation.

Secondly, what exactly does Trump plan to do to help? Simply telling the companies that you "want" it isn't really an incentive.

Any idea why Stubby McBonespurs is even mentioning this? Was there some news story on Fox about mobile phones recently? Seems like a rather strange deviation from the whole "Fake News/Witch Hunt" tweets we normally see.

Trump probably did hear "5G" mentioned and for some Trumpian reason got that confused with "G Spot" whereupon Trump started calling his latest porn star sex partner.
 
Also 5g and 6g aren't.... like things that exist. They are just marking terms to describe vague technological "generations."

Not even remotely, his voters knew he lied all the time and that most of what he said was total garbage, they just thought they knew the real trump and that the wall was a metaphor. That was the whole point about taking him seriously but not literally as a reason to support him.

Trump is an idiot. There are issues regarding compatibility and standards for 5G that are still being argued about and must be resolved. It is being tested and Verizon is pushing to rollout a proprietary version, one that others argue isn't 5G at all. But in realistic terms it will be late 2020 early 2021 before 5G starts gaining any real market share. It took about 10 years to get to where we are now. Similarly, it will be the late 2020s early 2030s before we see 6G or terahertz communications.

If he was, they would be thinking "huh"? Trust me, this is 20 years working in data and telecommunications speaking. Trump was just tossing around buzzwords that only a very few understand and he's not one of them. No way can you say something even mildly intelligible about data cocommunications in a tweet.
 
Perhaps they have 6G phones on Mars, which Trump thinks we could get to in the next couple of years.
 
If only we could persuade him that Obama didn't like going into space because he didn't have orange enough skin to look good in it.

Maybe we can show Trump footage of Shepard hitting a golf ball on the moon, and tell him those moon rovers were actually high-performance golf carts. Then Trump would eagerly volunteer to go to space.

Just don't bother packing too much air. Or a space suit. Those are for wussies and 'snow flakes'. A tough man who braved through bone spurs in order to have sex with women in the 70s/80s (his own personal vietnam, as Trump called it) doesn't need them.

I agree to a point. But 5G equipment exists. At least in rough form. There just aren't finalized IEEE standards for it. There are draft proposals for it which should be agreed on soon. 6G is basically theoretical.

Although I'd go slightly different. 100% oxygen atmosphere. And NASA Space Force, could give him a launch with not 5g, not 6g, but with a bit of development, 25g
