case in point, leave it to him to take credit for turning in a child porn tape, that was caused not by anything he did, but rather a tv program exposing R. Kelly's horrific ways.

I guess tho that we should praise him for doing the absolute minimum, tho. :rolleyes:

And no thanks for the invite to that thread. I read the first page and a little into the second, by which time the logical error you were making had been explained pretty well at least three times. I jumped to the last page -- 18! -- to see what could possibly still be an issue, and it seemed you were even more confused than at the beginning. But I haven't had much luck myself explaining to you what "logical argument" even means, much less "fallacy," so I wasn't really surprised.

It tickles my soul that the fantastic straw man of "I didn't vote for him" has become the go to response.

The reason people are not going to vote for him is because of guys like me who worked tirelessly to show he is a ******* scam artist and all around huckster.

He was invited to be the lead speaker in Iowa, and was just about to go on a speaking tour in New Hampshire. say, skeptics, who knows what those two states share in common in relation to voting for national office?

Trump is a 100 times sleazier than Avenatti and you have not focused your indignation towards him. Not, that we really care about Avenatti. Although we did enjoy him pointing out to the world what a lying cheating sleazy POS Trump happens to be. We liked that a lot.

And lets face it, that's what really bothers you about Avenatti. It's not his questionable ethics. Your easy dismissal of the sleaze in the White House is proof of that. Some of us just find your obsession with a lawyer who doesn't hold a public office and who hasn't run for any political office absurd. I mean this is a US Politics forum.

Also, you should consider taking a course in logic. Because you don't have a clue what is and isn't a fallacy. NO ONE disputes that Avenatti is interested in attention. That was was conceded. But Avenatti is hardly relevant in a world where Super Sleaze is President.

Yea bu-bu-bu-bu-bu-bu-bu-bu Trump! DOH! Trump is President.. Avenatti is pretty much nobody.

Trump is the one undermining checks and balances and the Constitution. Trump is the one sucking up to Putin and threatening our alliances. Trump is the one threatening freedom of the press. Avenatti is simply the lawyer that went on TV and exposed over and over and over that Trump was lying to us.

Your answer is to ignore the clear message and shoot the messenger, not just once but 1,000+ times over. Avenatti has no effect on our lives so we dont give a crap about him. Trump OTOH has a great effect on our lives and yet he doesn't matter to you.

I thought this was a political forum? The point is a certain individual goes on and on about someone who is not a political player.

Perhaps the Avenatti thread should be moved out of the US Politics forum and moved to the Social Issues and Current Events forum.

That has to be ironic bombast, no?

A lawyer for a porn star, who managed to seriously embarrass the serving POTUS, leading to the president's lawyer plea bargaining against Trump, was an achievement.

However he's not going anywhere near high office.

I would say that Avenatti is probably more suitable for high office than Trump or McConnell - but that's a *really* low bar.

See, another thing Avenatti took credit for that he should not.

Cohen plea bargained because Cohen ****** up in ways that had nothing to do with trump.

The paying off women was disclosed by the Wall Street Journal and Peter Stris and his client.

Avenatti is thirsty glory seeking grifter and repeat bankruptcy fraudster
