False dichotomy. One can be considered the other. As in, the good journalism could have led them to staking out the residence.

Glad I could help.

oy vey...

"May friend is a neighbor of Stone's and said CNN has had a truck out front of his house every Thursday - Saturday since the midterms."

vs

"No. Our reporters who cover this story everyday noticed unusual activity at Grand Jury and went to his home. That’s good journalism."

which was it? Oh right, a tip and an armed raid

and Stone is out on bail, which will really cut down the opportunity for rape jokes from the left

Again, False Dichotomy. There is no reason at all that both of those things can't be true. They could stake the place out every week (which mind you isn't CNN's claim, it's someone here Correction, it was someone on twitter that was linked here, that claimed that), and they could have noticed unusual activity but would have already been staking the place out.

For someone who's such a stickler on reading comprehension, I think you're missing the ball here.

Meanwhile, while Stone's arrest is grabbing the headlines, Manafort was back in court...

From: https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/25/poli...aring-mueller-russia-investigation/index.html
District Judge Amy Berman Jackson said she will determine whether Manafort lied when he was cooperating with Mueller -- something that could impact a future prison sentence. Berman Jackson asked special counsel prosecutor Andrew Weissmann to address if he plans to charge Manafort with additional charges related to his alleged breach of plea. "We don't currently intend to do that," Weissmann said. But he did not rule out the possibility in the future.

Next step is a hearing in early February.

Well, that rather rips the rug out from under your earlier claim that CNN were tipped off. Why would they need to be tipped off if they have a truck already there?

Hooboy!

So, maybe you should try throwing a stick next time.

or learning what a false dichotomy is, right?

The fact is that CNN can't get their story straight.

That is no doubt because it is false.

They are not the leaders of the Fake News for nothing, right?

Stone is such a vicious thug that the heavily armored FBI squad had to drag him out in front of convienntly placed CNN cameras, for process violations.
Witness tampering is NOT a process violation!
To TBD everything is a process violation.

After all, talking to witnesses is part of the process of an investigation. So tampering with witness is affecting the process of the investigation. Thus, process violation.

The person saying about the CNN van is talking about a friend and neither are CNN. The other person is an anchor in the northeast who probably wasn't in the rooms where these sections were made. None of these three people are spokespeople for CNN.

It'll be fun when you go back to quote the two stories that CNN is telling that create this false dichotomy. So far you haven't got that yet. Go, fetch!

Since you cannot even get your own stories straight, then I do not care what you have to say about CNN.

I believe we've gotten beyond the point where when you just say things people believe them. Point out where I am wrong.

You are saying "it's got to be either A or B and CNN can't say which". I'm saying no.

I think we can all see TBD trying on the classic right-wing tactic of "re-framing the debate"

The real debate is about the indictment of the scumbag and thug, Roger Stone, and how it fits into the FACT that the Trump Campaign conspired with a foreign government, namely Russia, to rig the 2016 US Election in Trump's favour. TBD is trying to distract/deflect the focus of this debate by making it about how Stone was arrested and whether or not a news organization was tipped off about it.

No-one is buying his BS any more.

The reality is that, in Roger Stone, we have yet another of Trumps closest allies under indictment. "All the President's Men (are Criminals".

I only hope the trial goes on long enough until Trump is out of office so that he can't pardon this thug. Either that, or the FBI keeps something in reserve that they can charge him with later, after Trump has gone.

Oh do not think for a second that TBD is not having fun...

Can you imagine that if they ever just concede the point rather trying to attack TBD?

Tiny ripples crashing in the glorious Sea Mount

CNN can't get their stories straight, did they notice the activity through good journalism? Or were they staking out the residence?

How about Stone getting arrested, huh? I realize the perceived source of the story is of overriding importance to you, but the arrest itself has some interesting implications, don't you think?

A seamount is already under water, so this metaphor is unintentionally and hilariously accurate.

It would be almost as glorious as you just quoting the two statements by CNN that create that dichotomy you were going on about. It would only take you a fe SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL! SQUIRREL!

You are asserting they were tipped off without providing any evidence.

It's worse than that; it's without any logic. Why would the FBI want CNN to get video of "the FBI using gestapo tactics to arrest a 66 year old guy for process violations?"
