We know Russia helped Bernie against Hillary - but he has never admitted that this played a role in his campaigns' popularity.
I doubt it was ever demonstrated they had any significant effect in that particular regard. We know Russia helped Bernie against Hillary - but he has never admitted that this played a role in his campaigns' popularity.
Not AFAIK, but there was targeted propaganda to claim that Bernie was cheated by Clinton through the DNC, and that Trump had more in common with Sanders than Clinton, because unlike her, he was wasn't in the pocket of Wall Street.
Might have suggested it before but:
What we need is for all D-candidates to get together for a weekend, have some drinks, play some poker, and have a Gentle(wo)man's agreement that whoever gets nominated will have the full support of all the others, no matter how ugly the Primaries get.
Young?
Well, that's a great start for her campaign!
Maybe she means "young" compared to most Congress critters.
Former West Virginia State Senator Richard Ojeda
And it's only January of '19. That's what inspired my earlier Klown Kar comment, the quantity, not the quality. Not a big surprise: Kamala Harris is running!

What an impressive field: Harris, Gillibrand, Warren, maybe Booker and Klobuchar as well.
(I so hope that Biden and Sanders stay out, though.)
ETA: to be more precise:
2020 field so far.
Announced runs:
Sen. Kamala Harris
Julian Castro
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard
[Former] Rep. John Delaney
Former West Virginia State Senator Richard Ojeda
Announced exploratory committee:

I hate to be the fuddy-duddy, but I'm highly unimpressed by credentials of "former state senator". A candidate who is apparently under-qualified is not a winning concept.I have just been watching him on Michael Moore's documentary. He seems like someone who could beat Trump because he seems like someone who would appeal to the blue-collar rust-belt areas that swung it for Trump.
The Democrats will never let him win though.

"But Biden's so old!"
You guys do know Trump is like...72 right? And was the oldest person ever to take the office? If 72 doesn't bother the voters 76 won't. Unless they think the candidate is going to keel over or go senile in the next 4/8 years, they'll vote for them if they like them regardless of age.
Let's address the elephant in the room. The Dems don't want to run Biden because he's an old white man and right now the narrative the Democrats really, really want to write is someone who's not an old white man beating the old white man.
They are gonna put up a symbolic representative for all the disenfranchised groups up there, another woman, probably someone of color-ish (brown but not too brown as they call it in Hollywood), and that's risky.
You're forgetting about the Republican party's limitless ability to engage in hypocrisy. (Remember, the party that contemned Clinton for sexual misconduct now doesn't care about such things when Trump did them.) I'm sure if Biden became the candidate, any time he sneezes it would result in hours of coverage on Fox news suggesting that he's at death's door and that we need to stick with Trump because his doc said he was so healthy."But Biden's so old!"

Sadly, given the underlying racism that seems to be evident in a large part of the electorate, "old white men" may be the best way to beat Trump.Let's address the elephant in the room. If one lacks credentials, it helps to have name recognition.
More importantly though, 2016 is then, 2020 is now. The country has seen what can happen when a POTUS is ignorant.
Overall, Trump's approval/disapproval rates haven't really changed much:
