A firm awarded a government contract to provide extra ferry services has used website terms and conditions apparently intended for a takeaway food firm.

Its original terms and conditions advised customers to check goods before "agreeing to pay for any meal/order".

The government said the section was "put up in error" and was now correct.

That inspires confidence.

Sound planning. Stop talking the country down. Obviously if your container loads of insulin don't arrive you get a complimentary pizza.
I wonder if they have the 30 minutes or it's free offers...

It's just an arse covering exercise now. Anyone not in Putin's pocket or a refugee from a Dickens novel now knows it's a total cluster ****.

The object of the exercise now, for the PM, the cabinet and the rest of parliament is to avoid any blame.

None of this shower of **** should be voted back in. Whatever happens, at the next election, anyone that votes for an MP that voted for Brexit needs shooting.

Arse covering? I wish. I have reluctantly started to believe that the level of incompetence being displayed goes beyond credibility to the point where I fear we're looking at a deliberate attempt to crash the British economy to force us to take deals that will allow the "free market" idealogues access to the remaining public service areas of our country (like the remaining untouched areas of the NHS) as their doners pick up the pieces at fire sale prices.

Sorry the NHS cant get your insulin because of the EU, migrants and transgender single mothers. We need to open up the market to fix this....

C4 News show it was even worse than we thought. The CEO ran up massive debts. They have no signed contracts with any ports. They have no boats leased.

Well the leader does indeed have experience of running a shipping firm.

Admittedly it collapsed

We all know this "no deal brexit" planning is just a bunch of nonsense to scare MP's into submission with so it doesn't matter. There's no way they would actually allow that to happen, right? Right?

The scary thing about watching Grayling try to justify it on the news was that the only mitigation he had was that the contract has milestones.

Forgive me for thinking of anything other than money for a second but i would imagine if you cant get your insulin then the fact that the government didnt have to pay the shippokg company who failed to deliver it will be cold comfort

Time for the British to assert themselves as a world power again post-brexit.

Hong Kong (CNN)When the British defense minister revealed this week that new military bases were being considered in Asia, critics questioned whether London has the money -- or strategic vision -- to carry out such a plan.

But an examination of recent British defense initiatives shows that far from being an off-the-cuff play, a base in Asia would be a logical extension of moves made over the last few years.
Defense Secretary Gavin Williamson broached ideas for a post-Brexit British military in an interview with the Sunday Telegraph.
"This is our biggest moment as a nation since the end of the Second World War," Williamson said.
"This is our moment to be that true global player once more -- and I think the armed forces play a really important role as part of that."

See, you just lack vision, people.

BTW. Who calls it the "Far East" anymore?

I admire your optimism.

For some members of the Tory party, the No Deal **** up is what they want. They can then continue selling off the country.

Everyone else knows Brexit is pants and that the deal is pants, but they've come this far on 'the will of the Putin people" that to back up now will simply enforce the notion that they don't know what they're doing.
